This whole story was a bullshit publicity stunt. I'm sure the NFL was in on it as well. By dropping Chad, it makes the team look like an upstanding organization sympathetic to battered women. Most things in the media that are sensationalized and over publicized are usually scripted. Evelyn got her little Rihanna moment with the interviews and publicity for the supposed "abuse" she endured while the black man gets disgraced and demonized, protocol to reinforce stereotypes. Chad was more than willing to play the role. He will get picked up by another team and rise to the top just as Chris Brown did. His team will probably win the Super Bowl. People are stupid for continually falling for these charades. Wake up!
Maybe after her visit with Iyanla she realized that she can't get mad at something that she GAVE permission to do. But it's not like I really care about either one of these drama queens.

I saw a longer clip of the interview online where Evelyn owned up to feeling that she basically wasn't worthy of and didn't deserve respect in ANY relationship.
