Last week Chris Brown's new cd Fortune was slapped with stickers by a rogue domestic violence group in the UK warning buyers not to support Chris Brown because he beats women [click here if you missed that].
Instead of getting angry, Christopher looks on the bright side...

"We were as surprised as anyone when the stickers appeared. Obviously someone must have snuck in to put them on a handful of Cds... I guess they got their point across pretty effectively - with widespread coverage around the world, though, by the same token, quite a few more people now know there's a new Chris Brown album out."

You're kidding right? His album debuted at the #1 spot on Billboard selling 135,000 copies in its first week. It also debuted at #1 in 3 other countrues and reached the top 10 in 7 countries. You might want to check Billboard again, and whilst you're at it, poor out that tea, it's got you deluded.
At 3:26 Billboard also posted that he has only sold approx. 240,000 cd's worldwide to date. Great reference though, so we can now have biscuits with that tea!
FAME still hasn't made platinum yet. At this rate by the time Fortune goes rust, he will have aged to be in his 30's and have completed 2 stints in rehab.

The question was asked whether his album is selling or not, reciepts were presented. At the end of the day they will say the #1 selling album "Fortune", or the Grammy award winning artist Chris Brown. Some of you still seem to be in your feelings about the Rihanna incident and taking things personal. Did your man beat you, so you project that onto Chris? Why you mad?
I loved chris's music before but this album 'fortune' aint all that, the singles are wack so I aint feeling to buy it. Its nt even about the domestic abuse - its about the quality of the music
I have the Fortune album and there are some great tracks on it. He's definitely talented and he's very versatile, he gives you the nice slow jams, the hood club thumpers and then turns around and hits (no pun intended) the white girls with heavy hitting dance tracks that do well overseas.
I honestly think the whole "woman beater" sticker placement was the label's doing. These record labels are thirsty these days. According to another blog this stunt translated into higher record sells.
