Last month Dream Hampton rocked hip hop with the revelation that Jay Electronica and Stic Man from Dead Prez were ghost writers for Nas' 'Untitled' album [click here if you missed that].
Over the weekend Jay Electronica called Dream's claims bullshit, but Dream stands by her word...
Jay tells MTV Rap Fix,
“I met [Nas] on a humble submission and he is one of the greatest ever — he never has or never will need a ghostwriter. He’s legendary, his pen game is unquestionable; salute to Nas, and all of the other bullshit, is just bullshit”Dream was not impressed.

Honestly, Dream comes off as one of those groupies who try SO hard to kick it, that they start to instigate bullshit just to be kept in "the loop" and to get attention.

I don't know what Dreame is trying to accomplish with this revelation. Nas has already sold the units, performed on the tours, made the videos. Most people wouldn't care one way or another if he USED a ghostwriter (that term always baffled me because how is rap lyrics that different from song lyrics in terms of the artists being involved?) because all artists have writers of some kind.
I agree with Ms. Lee. Dreame is mad she no longer sits with the cool kids, even though most of those cool kids have graduated into obscurity by now.

Yes Omillio wrote the hook but Jay Z did not sing that hook. She's saying that she wrote the lyrics that Nas rapped. Big difference. Most rappers mention someone else's lyrics. Rappers mention Jay's lyrics too.
Just check the receipts - who has credit (i.e. getting checks) on the CD as writer(s)?
