Blogger Jason Lee ran into Nas and Kelis at the Hollywood Bowl on Thursday night at the Anita Baker / Esperanza Spalding concert.
Jason reports the couple were with a group of friends and tried to keep a low profile but were definitely not trying to hide!

I can't say I'm mad at them. I think people throw in the towel way too soon in most marriages.
Anyhoo, with that said, I've always felt that Nas could have done better than Kelis. Someone classier. She's also not that attractive, only in the right light. That picture above is awful.

I believe Kelis has only had one album that sold well -whichever 'Milk Shake' was on and even that could be questionable. Most of her albums have never sold well. I don't think her label ever knew how to market her.

Any radio station or program that spins Van Hunt, JDavey and similar independent artists on the regular normally add Kelis tracks. L.A. had Chocolate City on 89.9 and at one time, they played a lot of Kelis tracks, even after the Milkshare era.
From what I've heard, she's a bigger deal in the UK.
Actually KELIS WAS HERE is the album that was the most successful and went platnium which had BOSSY on the tracklist and the number with her husband BLINDFOLD ME. It was the most urban of hers and the first one she did without the neptunes.
But yes you're right about them not knowing how to market her sound which she stated because she doesnt fit in one category. super talented and original none the less.
But if they could work things out then more power to them. All about black fammilies staying together. You dont get to 20 30 yrs of marriage by jumpin ship during the storms

Awwwww, I was sooooo glad to hear about this because I am the biggest Nas fan and a huge fan of Kelis' music. BTW Kelis was Here = Awesome album! She is big in the UK, Prince even did a cover of one of her songs.
Nas with his FINE *ss is clearly one of the best if not the best rappers.
It is so obvious that they are still in love with each other that this should no come as a shock to anyone....In both of the songs that they wrote about each other (both of which were nice Bye Baby and Braveheart) they put raw emotion into those songs. The music is nice BUT the lyrics alone are very much about a serious love.
I'm happy for them...people can say what they want about either one of them but the fact is when you find that one TRUE LOVE...you don't give a crap about what anybody has to say because you know what you have with that person.
I'm sure Tiny tolerated a LOT of cheating and BS in the past but look at Tiny and TI now. They are in love. How can you hate on that???
