I have not seen Garcelle be more vocal about what is going on in Haiti. That is where she is from she should help them out I just saw that there was some terrible flooding going there. Why is that Mat Damon and Sean Penn are doing more to help those people and they are not black? I am confused on this one.

The Haitians were the first slaves to kick out their slavemasters, the french. The french had to enlist other countries to suppress the slaves and the slaves still won their freedom.
And ever since then, since independence, the white europeans have been punishing the Haitian people. Look at what they do to Cuba. Well, they did worse to Haiti. The Haitians had to pay REPARATIONS to FRANCE for their OWN FREEDOM. That is what bankrupted Haiti. The Haitian government paid off the Europeans to cease the aggressive acts against it. Look it up. Plenty of white people have documented what happened. The USA had Haiti under occupation FOR THIRTY YEARS. Now, the US military says the occupation was for "democracy". That was a bullshit excuse for Iraq. It was a bullshit excuse for Haiti.
When you see these white people swoop in to "help" Haiti, it is just a drop in the bucket compared to the aggression Haiti has gotten. The country was just too weak to defend themselves. Out of all the 3rd world-countries, before Vietnam and Iraq, Haiti got it the worse. The US And the Europeans have been fucking with Haiti for centuries. You see the fruit. But look to the root.
So when Anderson Cooper, Sean Penn do their work, that's great. But their ANCESTORS should have never done those Haitians dirty. That is why the US started shitting themselves when China helped out Haitians during the earthquake. They know the Chinese will come at the Haitians like they do the Africans, with cooperation instead of abuse.
Haitians in Haiti are an abused people, to this day. Abuse that has lasted for many years.

Haitians won their freedom by fighting for it, handing the french yet another defeat. The same tactics that the USA uses on present day Cuba, punishing an entire island of people for one man, Castro, is exactly what all of Europe was doing to Haiti. That is pretty easy to understand.
To pay off debt, Haiti sold off trees which deforested the land, making them more susceptible to hurricanes and flooding. This is basic ecology. Not voodoo.
The first and only avowed voodoo users I ever met in my life were a white woman and an asian woman. I never met a Haitian, Dominican or Puerto Rican in my life who confessed to me about using voodoo or Santeria, so miss me with your bullshit stereotypes.

Haiti was blackballed for decades and the US was complicit in this abuse. No one wanted to see a nation of black slaves rise up, overcome their abusers and flourish. Europe and the US all had a hand in making sure the Haitian people would fail and that country has been struggling ever since.
