One of the only ways government can squeeze people out of their homes is if it decides to build a stadium. Ratner happened to have a few gazillion dollars lying around, so he brought the Nets. This is where Jay-Z came in— he recruited Jay cause it's way easier to convince a city to let you bring a sports team there if you’re a really cool professional rap guy, especially one who grew up around the place where the stadium’s supposed to be. While Jay only owns approximately one 50th of 1 percent of the newly-relocated Brooklyn Nets his face is plastered all over the place and as per Mr. Ratner “He is it,” “He is us. He is how people are going to see that place.” and on that note Jay is sweating cause if it fails he fails!! And how many other clebs have part ownerships like Usher with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Will Smith with the Philadelphia 76ers, and Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony with the Miami Dolphins none of these artist go around bragging about it? One last question, where is blu?
