I thought if was a bad idea from the beginning. Only because J-Ho was just a judge and Mariah and Her been adversaries for a longtime. You don’t “replace” someone who had less talent than you. well, she didn't know they were considering Nicki along with her when she signed on, so i wouldn't blame her if she left.

Just off the simple fact that you called Brandy's album "new moon", I can take you seriously. You don't know what your talking about. Brandy has never tried to sing like Mariah. Whitney has been her inspiration but she still doesn't sing like her, Brandy has carved her own lane vocally, and no one these days can touch her runs and vocals. She used autotune back then to create a futuristic effect that no one was doing at the time until recently, it wasn't because she couldn't sing. Other writers, artists and producers in the industry refer to her as the "vocal bible" for a reason. As far as Mariah, unfortunately due to her excessive drinking and smoking, and constantly hitting that high note, her vocals are shot. Whitney's vocals were shot before she passed. Brandy has been in the game almost 2 decades and her voice is just as fresh and clear as ever.
