Back in July Keyshia Cole revealed that her sister Neffie would not be appearing on her new reality show 'Family First' featuring Keyshia's wedding to Boobie Gibson in Hawaii [click here if you missed that].
Neffie explains why she skipped Keyshia's wedding...

"I didn’t go to the wedding because I wasn’t properly invited. I’m just being honest. I love my sister, I love my mom, I love my family but I was not properly invited to the wedding. First of all, they didn’t get married in Hawaii, they got married in Vegas. I wasn’t invited to the actual wedding ceremony in Vegas. I was invited to the wedding/taping in Hawaii and I felt like if I wasn’t invited to the first one, why should I go to a ceremony that you’re taping in Hawaii?"
"I got a phone call two days before the wedding and only myself and my two daughters were invited. My husband and my five children were not invited. I got a phone call two days before it was time to film and I could not just get up and hop on a plane and go to a wedding ceremony. That was craziness to me."

I was going to come on here and drag Neffie but she is 100% right and even more so IF she brought those issues up. If she said "ALL my children AND husband need to be invited as well" then okay. Even so she is still right feeling salty about being invited 2 days prior to an event like that. It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode about the "un-invite" where someone would invite you to an event last minute hoping that you can't make it and only so that you cant get mad at them for not inviting you.

I don't blame her for not attending the wedding. Keyshia invited her at the last minute like an afterthought. However, I'm glad Neffie is off of TV. She was a waste of space. She had an opportunity to be successful while she was on BET, but instead she chose to keep getting knocked up and expected Keyshia to keep helping her. I could care less how she treats her mother because she was never there for her but Neffie being her sister didn't do her wrong as she was growing up. Keyshia should have invited her whole family ahead of time and then it would have been on Neffie to figure out how many people she could afford to get to Hawaii.

I too think Keysha should have invited Neffie and her entire family to the wedding with adequate notice and let Neffie finance her own familys trip. But for some reason I do not think she wanted her sister to be there.

Keisha knew she did not want Neffie there because she knows it takes months or atleast several weeks to plan before leaving her five children or taking them to the wedding. Plus, Keisha only wanted two of Neffies kids there and as a mother of one myself, I would not have gone. Two day notice is wrong as hell. Keisha and her family need to come to an understanding that either they will act and operate like siblings all of the time or just cut the rope. Neffie and Frankie will always be ghetto but that is them and you have to accept them as is. No matter how embarressing they are, she should not have dragged them into her life knowing she was ashamed of them. I like Keisha and she is classier than her family but she should have placed more emphasis on her adopted family who raised her and loved her and this mess would have been avoided.

I agree with Neffie on two things: 1. that was not enough notice for a destination wedding not only for the adults, but especially not if Keyshia invited two of her kids. 2. Keyshia should not have invited only 2 of the children. All of them or tell Neffie it's adult only and don't invite any of them. That's just the only way to avoid the drama of "she only invited half." Everything else, I'm sorry but I believe she's wrong. ENTITLEMENT is the problem here, and many of you are co-signing it. I believe Neffe. Keyshia's been doing this shit since the beginning of her career. She only wants them around for publicity for her music. The only reason why she rushed to get married was because nobody was checking for her and her album at the time flopped. She also wasn't nominated for any BET/MTV Awards that year and felt snubbed.
