It's hard to believe that Katy has sold more than Beyonce in the last 3 years. I've never bought a Katy Perry song nor do I know anyone else who has so I'm always surprised when I hear her mentioned. Katy is on par with Rihanna and tied for #1's last year. Katy Perry sold 42 Million singles off of Teen Dream. When I tried to source Beyonce's sales from 4 it was a lot of murky numbers instead of just stating how much it actually sold which is usually a sign that they don't want to just say that Bey sold X number because it's no where near what Katy and Rihanna sold.
Actually the list is supposed to be 1992-2012 (which isn't a decade) which is how billboard has it listed on their website. I still find that to be strange because artists in the 90s were selling waaaaaay more per album than they are now. 1992-2012 would explain why Janet is so high on the list.
That list is a JOKE. Where are Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys? They've both had a lot of success and made better music that the bullshit Rihanna and Katy Perry have done. Music really is dead people.
