Natina Reed, member of 90s R&B girl group Blaque, was killed in a car accident last night in Georgia...
Diva Whispers broke the news early this morning and it was confirmed by Blaque member Brandi Williams.
According to Diva Whispers Natina was crossing the street in Lawrenceville, GA when she was hit by a car.
Blaque had recently been in the studio working on a comeback.
Natina's birthday is tomorrow. She would have been 33.
She is survived by her 10-year old son with rapper Kurrupt.

When I first heard about this I thought this was a set up...the last few years have been ruff for her.....the prostitution charge, jail period...and not being married no more to top it off. I feel for her son tho.

LE died a month shy of her 31st bday, natina died 1 day before hers.
LE was in the process of adopting a 10 year daughter/natina leaves behinda 10 y/o son.
LE passed 10 years after TLC hit the scene and reached the pinnacle of their success, natina passes on 10.5 years after LE.
I too recall hearing some troubling stories from the media, seeing the mugshot, etc. She had a bad house in Lithonia, but ended up selling it early 2003-2004 I believe. She seemed to be going through so much. I know, we all did/do/are also. Horrible story.

I'm just hoping they dont try to report she was drunk and just aimlessly walking along a busy stretch of hwy and no one knew why. Such a horrible way to leave here, but who am I to say? Some of our exits out of this life will make history or the news while the rest of us, well our stories will be unsung and silent.

Some people are so incredibly stupid and unkind. This is not the time to speak of what you feel won't happen to someone else, or referring to this young woman as a"has been". A ten yr old boy is without his mother. This young woman lost her life in a tragic way. Show some respect. I hope and pray the father is with his son and will be there for him. yeah the cross walk, but at the same time, GA is known for not having sidewalks even on the residentials roads/areas. very unfortunate. and yes, it's extremely dark because there's typically no street lights. I drive home at night many times and there are people walking, typically dressed in dark attire. I flash my brights and sure enough, someone's trotting along.
If you know anyone in Atlanta, they'll tell you we're just used to it (being dark, no sidewalks, etc).

Yep, 1:22, its horrible. I live intown and the lack of sidewalks is a blip. I don't even ride my bike in my current neighborhood because there are no sidewalks, but traffic is too heavy for me to take my bike on the road. Or you'll have a sidewalk for a quarter mile stretch and then no more sidewalk. People that live here can definitely understand how a death like hers could happen. Buford Hwy is also well known for long stretches without lights so if a pedestrian tries to cross, they're in a vulnerable position.
This is so sad. The group was just about to make a comeback. My condolences goes out to her son, the rest of her family, and her group members. RIP Natina.
