Bye Bye TBS! Tyler Perry is headed to OWN...
Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network announced on Monday that Tyler Perry would be producing television programs exclusively for OWN beginning mid-2013.
TBS will continue to broadcast reruns of Tyler Perry's “House of Payne,” “Meet the Browns” and “For Better or Worse” but all new programming will appear on OWN.
Tyler confirmed the merger in a message to his fans,
"...It's true, Oprah and I have joined forces. We've formed a partnership for OWN and I'm super excited about it. I'll fill you in more as we get closer to the airing of my shows."
"I have a lot of questions for you about this, so stay close, OK? I need your help."

Why now Oprah? When you were Ms. Mighty Whitie you didn't want to do anything pertaining to Black people, now that you AIN'T in there club no more you want to try to kick it with us...well unless you handing out some scratch with that tv show I refuse to support anything that you have going on. And Tyler you have been trying so long to be in there club you too would sell your soul to the highest bidder.

whatever, they have their faults but at the end of the day, they're more positive than negative, it is what it is, i don't hate on success.
I'm happy to see them work together but...how many households have access to TBS and how many have OWN??
^See, that's what I'm saying... depending on your cable/satellite, OWN is an upgrade from where TBS is. This is one reason why OWN is shaky -you have to pay extra to watch it.
Oprah expected people to pay for what they were getting FOR FREE for the past 20 years. Now, some will have to upgrade in order see Tyler's stuff. Unless they change that, Tyler's ratings will suffer as well.
