Over 100 Killed After Diddy's Bangladeshi Sweat Shop Burns Down

112 workers were killed in a fire at the factory in Bangladesh where Sean 'Diddy' Combs' ENYCE label is manufactured...

According to reports the factory had no emergency exits and police have arrested three factory officials suspected of locking workers in during the fire.

ENYCE has agreed to pay each worker's family $1,200 and set up an educational fund for the victim's children.

Workers in the factory earned $56.00 a month plus overtime.

Though Walmart, Disney and Sears also had clothing made in the factory, they are claiming suppliers did so without their knowledge.

Only P.Devil would have something like this happen to him. Those were the brazen flames of Hell erupting, taking the innocent lives of sweatshop worker making overpriced, tacky ass urban wear for homothugs.

Just a sign that Satan is ready to take his child back to hell with him.

Damn shame! All those lives. $1200 for each family? Really? Might as well not give them anything. Even $5000 would make each family wealthy in their economy and Diddy can afford it. And these companies STILL won't bring these jobs back to the U.S. I hope I never get that addicted to money!

Nah Snitch is reaching for this one, yes puff did buy ENYCE a minute ago. However that fire is on Wal-mart their products were mostly being made their. I saw this on the news, this is horrible, very sad. Even worse Wal-Mart wants no parts of owning up smh. This is like that explosion in the 1980s in India with Du Point (Google it)

DO YOU REMEMBER?:On December 28, 1991, Sean "P Diddy" Combs promoted a concert, headlined by the late Heavy D, at the City College of New York gymnasium, following an AIDS charity basketball game. The event was overcrowded since it was oversold to almost twice capacity, while thousands without tickets were outside. To keep them out, Combs' people shut the only door to a stairwell and put a table behind it, though the crowd jammed inside was pounding on the door and pleading for help. When the crowd outside broke several glass doors in an attempt to get in, a stampede ensued inside the gymnasium in which nine people died.EVIL!!!!!!

Before I try to call Diddy cheap or whatever, I'm waitiing to see what Walmart, Disney and Sears come up with by way of compensation for the victims' families, keeping in mind they've got a million times the bank that Sean Combs does. They knew what time it was, they're just trying to get outta paying up.

Big Business=keeping the poor poor and the rich richer.
If ALL of those bastards didn't care about the deceased workers while they were living, do we truly believe they care about the families and an educational fund for the children left behind? This is about the bad publicity and making it go away.

I bet those factory officials were handsomely rewarded for carrying out thier mission. I smell foul play, Diddy and Walmart are devils. Isn't Diddy the highest paid rapper or something to that extent? This was a mass sacrifice.

they earned $56 a month??? this is tragic , while in one month they probably made thousands of dollars worth of that garbage homothug wear

fuck Diddy ! fuck Bey!Fuck Jay! fuck Kimora! Fuck all those getting rich from slave labour mofos and blacks doing this too if that ain't irony at its best!

blame the white man all you want for enslavement and then support a slave economy and get rich , human nature is a bitch!

Come at me all you want I stand by my comment, there are other ways to make money without exploiting people.

Just take this as a reminder to put away whatever complaints you have about your job away and think of how lucky you are to have work and make decent money. These people are workin' for scraps and dying for a clothing line that they could never dream to even afford. It's the American way. Farming out industry to other countries at slave wages. The whole process should be illegal. I talked to a Best Buy Rewards Card rep a couple of hours ago about my shit and I was wondering why it took so long to transfer to him. Dude was in Katmandu, Nepal. Same place as the Dell techs I speak with from work routinely. Big Business in America has no plans to strengthen the economy in this country. They'll continue to milk every ounce of cheap labor from foreign soil as long as they're allowed to.. These muthafuckas yell "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday", and we run out and buy this severely over-priced shit because they mark it down to prices closer to what the actual cost should be for a weekend..

TruthBeTold said...

I have not gone shopping in a long time and I only buy what I need . I am so sick of seeing racks upon racks of cheap polyester shit from China. If you have a closet full of cheap shit, best think again! Save your money and buy quality made stuff in humane conditions, it will last longer , look better and you will feel better. Can't imagine how often this type of shit really happens...SMH

TruthBeTold said...

@ 1:37 BeeGee sometimes you say some crazy shit but you're on point here .The whole thing is sad . Quality is slowing becoming a thing of the past .

I stopped buying shit long time ago, saved about $10Gs in about half a year.
Just keep paying yourself.

co-sign with Bee Gee. I've lived in a few Third World countries and those experiences have changed my whole outlook on consumerism.

Ms. Lee said...

@Bee Gee,

Good Afternoon love and I co-sign with you as well. It's both sad and amazing that Americans in particular have been so bamboozled into thinking that we're really getting a deal on these so-called "sales". Like you said, these things should regularly reflect their sale prices, but it just goes to show you how much the government has their feet on our necks. They're blatantly saying: "Yeah, we rip you zombies off everyday, but on "Black Friday", we'll cut you a deal and make you act a fool in stores around the country the day after you were supposed to be thankful for the things you already have." How ironic is it that we rush out to buy things after pledging our "thankfulness" the day before on Thanksgiving? Amazing.

Bee Gee said...

Ms. Lee, good afternoon, queen. Excellent point about the irony of Thanksgiving and Black Friday. And to piggyback, they don't even wait until FRIDAY for, you know... Black FRIDAY to start! They had stores opening up at 8:00pm on Thanksgiving evening. All under the guise of "stimulating the economy" GTFOH. It's 2012 and we have to reminisce about the good ole days of the early 2000s, when major national holidays were actually holidays and nobody had to work at all. Pretty soon, the mailman will be delivering mail on Thanksgiving and we'll be looking at him like he's crazy, only for him to say "Sheeeit, today is a regular work day for me.."

Anonymous said...

bee gee, lmao, u aint never lied. we couldnt even slice the damn turkey quick enough before stores opened. people were camped out in tents w/ their turkey dinners. lmfao. good points by you & ms lee though.

That's why I don't buy Nike. Can't stand child labor (or adult) sweat shops. Nike pays their sweat shop folks something like $50.00 a month to make tennis shoes. He ships the shoe back to the U.S. marks up the price to $200.00, targets the black community, using black athletes to ramp up the sales. The poor black, single mothers spend half their check buying these overpriced shoes so their kid won't get teased for wearing Walmart tennis shoes. Pathetic!

In terms of Diddy, not sure if he's to blame for this fire, but $1,200 is a slap in the face to these families. No emergency exits? This violates all building and safety codes. But, the laws are different overseas.

Big companies (and small companies like Diddy's) ship jobs overseas so they don't have to pay insurance and living wages to Americans. Yes, they save a lot of money, yes, it's their company and they can do whatever they want, but WE do not have to buy their product.

Bad Karma.

Only in the U.S. can the Walton family (owners of Walmart) who earn more that 60% of our U.S. population, eat a huge Thanksgiving meal and sit on their asses the next day and watch people run-over, stab, shoot and kill each other to keep making THEM money! DAMN shame! WAKE UP! We should never shop at Walmart. They treat their employees like shit and don't pay a living wage. The U.S. consumer ends up paying for it because many of their employees are on Medicaid and get food stamps. WE ARE SUPPLEMENTING THE WALTONS NOT PAYING THEIR EMPLOYEES AND THEY STILL GET US TO GIVE THEM MORE MONEY BY SHOPPING IN THEIR STORES!! True definition of a pimp.

$56 a month!!!!
you have to be extremely low-down and dirty to even be cool with that, so the f*ck what if that's better than what they may be use to, and so the f*ck what if some greedy ass jews and funky ass republicans do it, Diddy didn't have to be a sheep and follow and do like the evil rich do.
Just WOW. Any opportunity Diddy has to be a decent person and give back he STAY PASSING ON IT. $56 a month is an acceptable reason for somebody to whoop Diddy and all of the staff of Enyce's ass (and who the hell still sales enyce, Macy's in my hometown sure doesn't and Diddy is one of their celebrity brands, must be a loyal New York thing, NY must be keeping Enyce and Rocawear Alive)

112! Diddy loves that number! Even named his group after that particular number from a nightclub in Atl. The same nightclub thats been shut down for numerous shoot outs and acts of violence.

I see a lot of misguided comments on here about the situation. First 97% of all closthing is made overseas in these shops by people making this kind of money. Thats what people are paid for the clothes you have on your back right now. It doesn't matter if those clothes are from walmart or saks. It looks like Enyce is giving the families 2 years salary to help out, it's not his factory. Americans want cheap clothing so it must be made in facories by poor people so we are as much to blame if you want to jump all over Puffy. At least he is helping. Walmart is one of the biggest companies in the world and they offer nothing.
BTW what qualifies me to make these statements is a decade in the fashion business. No matter how much you paid for your clothes you probably don't have on 20.00 worth of clothing on your back right now, hell jordans cost 5.00 to make and 200.00 in the store.

That is not true. Inexpensive products do not need to be made by poor people. It's all about a few greedy people offering a low wage to maximize a profit margin. It's exploitation. But you are absolutely right on the point about demand and consumer responsibility.

Anonymous said...

Most Americans couldn't care less about the suffering of others in manufacturing plants and mining around the world. They just want something cheap. However it gets to the United States is however it gets there. Many Americans are more than willing to turn a blind eye to human rights violations as long as they can continue to get cheap products, yet probably just as many Americans collectively throw away billions of dollars each year on lottery tickets and of course only a handful of them reap a substantial amount of the benefits of in winnings. The money wasted could have gone to help others around the world or helped to pull Americans out of debt. Get your priorities in order, America.

I have a huge problem with the AMOUNT of shit that is produced, you see on racks, then its a clearance than its in a TJMaxx or some shit like that and it's just truck loads of hideous shit. Polluting the environment , taking lives and causing major problems. Women don't need to have closets full of stuff, buy less but buy quality you will be glad you did. This is they designer shit is so expensive , quality costs money. Making clothes is an art .

I hope that Diddy don't think that $1,200 is enough to compensate the loss of a life. Now we know that Diddy is also pat of the problem with his out sourcing jobs overseas. So that's how he made his fortune, because it sure as hell ain't his music. We as consumers should really try to get to know where our goods are manufactured and support goods made in America. P-Shitty is no better than that Clown named Mitt Romney.

I've sat back myriad of times reading posts. $1,200 dollars an individual for their LIFE!! Yes, he does have blood on his hands, AWAs Walmart,Sears, etc. You know, we all have to leave this body/life; Try and imagine standing in front of the Lord explaining why you compensated,a soul he created, only $1,200 dollars when he blessed you with MILLIONS?? You suppose to treat people the way you want to be treated. People think they can just ask for forgiveness all the time and it's given. It's given to the heartfelt; and NOT the habitual user, liar, thief, fornicators, etc. While myriad of our people are wasting money on overpriced--dyed,keeping up with the Johnsons' RUBBER disguised as shoes; I'll be retiring somewhere down South in a Penthouse/Condo. WAKE-UP MY PEOPLE, I PRAY CONTINUOUSLY! I try to use the money the Good Lord has given me to help other people, and not by compensating them $56.00 per month. It doesn't matter they are living in a different country or their economy. That's called EXPLOITATION!!! Come on people??? Pay the individual what they deserve to be paid, as if it were yourself! LTL(Learn To Love), Sincerely

It's not the value of their wages, the money given in observance of their families lose, for me, rather simply, it's the manner in which, Sean Combs carry himself as a Black Man. He tells the World he is OUR spokesman, but in reality his message is Garbage, his image is Garbage, his inaction was Garbage, therefore his belief's most be Garbage. Considering, that the wages paid there is well within line of their local industry, that garment industry over there is valued at over $80 Billion a year, therefore in Bangladesh it's not all on him. But,this tragic event handed him a GREAT opportunity to demonstrate the TRUE compassion which reside in the heart of All Black Men, and he FAILED. Sean Combs speak as though he is a spokesman of All Black Men across the Globe, as a Black Man myself, NO YOU ARE NOT!!!!
