LAPD Apologizes for Releasing Notorious B.I.G Autopsy Report

Last week the Los Angeles Police Department released the never before seen autopsy report for Brooklyn rapper Christopher 'Notorious B.I.G' Wallace.

Apparently the LAPD did not bother to notify the family before they made the report public...

The autopsy report, which was posted in its entirety on TMZ showed Biggie was shot four times, but only one bullet was fatal.

The report also showed that B.I.G was clean and sober at the time of his death.

After complaints from his family about releasing the 15 year old report the head of LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division issued the following statement,
"Our detectives personally spoke with the Wallace family (Friday) night, and apologized for not notifying them prior to the release,"
"Obviously this has been a challenging case for us to solve. We hope that witnesses or other people with information will come forward and give us the clues we need to solve this case."

"challenging case to solve" I still can't believe Big and Tupac's murders were never solved. Just crazy.

Okay is it true that Biggie was shpt from the left more times then he was shot from the right?

Why was it released last week though? Was there a new demand for an autopsy or something? Just ridiculous. Bad enough they WON'T solve the crime no need to rub salt in the wound.

Question is why last week?
Second, could the family have requested it not to be released?

Is this not public information?
Does this mean the investigation is now closed?

@12:12pm I know right, with all the witnesses involved. I guess its true, Snitches end up in ditches with stitches.

They need to get that guy from Investigational Discovery ID channel, The Homicide Hunter, Jack ?Khuana, to solve these crimes.

I have seen several episodes about the Biggie case and the detective that was working the case at the time has said from day one that Suge Knight's friend and gang buddy was the one that shot Biggie. Mind you the guy is a police officer. When Biggie got shot Little C's went to the police and gave the sketch artist the description of the guy that he said he saw shot Biggie. The LAPD is full of it, they know who did it and they still aren't doing anything, and I think the reason is because 1 the person who did it is one of theirs and 2 Biggie is a black man and we all know that they could careless about a black man.

If you want detailed information on the Biggie incident, read the book LAbyrinth by Randall Sullivan. It thoroughly investigates the murders of Tupac and Biggie and how the LAPD and Las Vegas Metro Police destroyed and covered up evidence. It is a very good book available on amazon.com.
