A few weeks ago Outkast member Big Boi jumped on a remix of Frank Ocean's Pink Matter sparking rumors of an Outkast reunion [click here if you missed that].
Not only was this not a reunion, Andre 3000 sounds a little salty that it even have happened...
3 Stacks tells Spin Magazine exclusively,
"It's important for me to be clear about the origins of my contributions to 'Pink Matter' and 'Sorry.'
I was approached as a solo artist by both Frank Ocean & Tip. I discussed musical direction with each artist and completed my verses. It was after that when Big Boi's name came up.
I never want to mislead our audience - I worried that some would think these were Outkast collaborations. These songs are not Outkast collaborations. I discussed this rationale with Big, Frank and T.I. and everyone agreed. That is why I was surprised to read about these remixes.
I understand that anyone can put out an unofficial remix to any song but I have an obligation to be honest with fans about what this is … and what it isn't."

Obama is still the best candidate. Looking at the Bigger Picture of course. And he exemplifies what a good marriage and family can be. But of course a cheating rapper who spends time in the strip clubs might not know anything about that. He's still a great entertainer though....

There were several candidates on the ballot but noone ever knows about them because the Rep and Dem party are so dominating.

On topic of OUTKAST...To me it seems like it got to a point where one wasn't pulling the same weight as the other. I think Dre got very popular and maybe thought artistically that he had to continuously pull Big Boi along. That shit gets tiring. People being able to take credit for your genius and always attach their name to you...

I can kinda understand where he is coming from. He did a song w/ Frank and agreed to 1 thing. No one likes people to flip the script AFTER an agreement has been made. He didn't plan for it to be a reunion and when you listen to the remix it doesn't even seem like they were cohesive as normal.
I am sure he has some ideas for the next track they do an official "Outkast" joint and that wasn't it. If it was an official Outkast joint I am sure he wanted to come harder. W/ the public being beyond pressed for an Outkast reunion (myself included) Frank's people probably saw that as an opportunity to get some much needed buzz on his album that most had forgotten about.

Once again, one took the oath, and the other didn't. How many times must this be said? I am always amazed at the stans who can't be satisfied with OutKast's previous 6 classic releases. Not 1, not 2 but 6. People need to understand when artists have moved out. OutKast did just as much for Rap as the Beatles did for Rock but people understand that McCartney and Ringo aren't desperate for a collabo. The circumstances for OutKast have changed. I would be bored in interviews if people kept asking me about the same dumb stuff.

@5:08 I see your point but I think the issue is when the Beatles disbanded Paul came out and said they were done in both an interview and press conference. It was a definite answer. Outkast keeps hemming and hawing that they "could possibly" get back together for another album and they "haven't broke up." Big is in every interview saying the only thing holding them up is Dre and he[Big Boi] WANTS to do another Outkast album.
I don't think that people aren't satisfied with their body of work it's just in a world of Flockas and that Jerome looking boy they are missed. I bet if they said "we are done don't ask anymore" the public's response would be different.

If it's so unbearable to be associated with Big Boi than be a freaking adult and admit it. Pull a Destiny's Child and put out another album with a unreleased track and fulfill the contract quota and do us all a favour and go your separate ways.
I agree with 9:02PM. Andre just needs to admit he wants to be a solo artist and get it over with. I think Andre is being an asshole. He claims he's bored with rap, but he still hops on people's remixes. It's like he wants people to beg for an Outkast reunion every time he does an interview or is a feature on someone else's song. He has gotten so arrogant and professional. He was on Beyonce's song Party, but he wouldn't even show up to be in the music video so J. Cole was placed on the song and showed up to the video instead. Big Boi has been a gentleman this whole time every time he's been asked about the group getting back together. It's obvious it is Andre's arrogance holding a new album up. Big Boi said they were offered one million per concert but the tour can't happen unless Andre's on board. If anyone was interfering with my potential earnings like that I would be pissed.
