BeBe Winans Says Don't Blame Bobby Brown

BeBe Winans' book about Whitney Houston, 'The Whitney I Knew' is selling so well that BeBe is still releasing excerpts months after its release and by selling so well I mean not selling well at all...

BeBe writes,
"Whitney never blamed Bobby for her troubles. Neither should we. I know Bobby. I knew him even before he and Whitney began seeing each other. Like any big brother, I had my concerns about the two of them together."
"You don't want just anyone to take your sister in marriage. You set high, high, high expectations. The bar sits in the stratosphere regarding who you're willing to let through the gate. Several of us close to Whitney felt the same way; this was no secret. "But it's also unfair and inaccurate for anyone to claim that Bobby ruined Whitney the moment they started hanging out..."
"My words here are not meant to diminish Bobby in any way. I simply thought that he and Whitney were unequally yoked. I felt they would be great as friends, but not as husband and wife. Whitney knew I didn't approve of their relationship early on."

BTW, Whitney looks part-Asian in that picture.

God knows I love him, truly I do, but you just can't trust these Christians. Who can really take anything this "Wife Beater Extraordinaire" says seriously?

i actually bought this book and honestly, bebe STANS his way all the way through. there's also a website he created for the book full of videos with him and whitney singing. although i'm sure she loved him and vice versa, i got the feeling that bebe and cece always wanted to either compete or drag nippy into their routine. it left a sketchy taste in my mouth, thats all i'll say.

Why is this queen trying to profit off of whitney? I can see his sister CeCe writing a book at some point way down the line, but this BeBe chick. I can't with her! Yet people dragged Cissy, Krissy, Pat & Nick saying anything. Shut the hell up BeBe and go heathen it up in the pulpit somewhere with your fraudulent ass!

BeBe needs to stop he was on Access Hollywood , and he said on their morning show, that he told Whitney not to marry Bobby Brown, because she would have to turn around and lay on that. and the host billy bush and the female co-host bust up laughing. now suddenly he's team bobby. People should be honest, the majority of people didn't want Whitney with Bobby. Bobby seem like he's a good person despite his drama and issues, but the reality of it is that Whitney and him should have remained friends, that's it. But, Whitney wanted what she wanted. For the life of me i will never understand how a woman can go from being pursued by Robert DeNiro, to having spend time with MJ, the man flew her on a helicopter to his house, had a horse-drawn carriage take her to his main house on neverland ranch. she said on a video during a concert that she was with him while he wrote some of his songs, and gave the crowd like expression that implied it was a " more than friends" situation, and mj was known for giving his women jewerly. how can you go from having men chase you, with obvious game, to falling for Bobby just because he had "personality". There's a video where she talks about how she really wanted to marry Michael, but David Gest wasin the way all the time. Sadly, obviously that was her type , because why hang out with ray-j? was whitney just not drawn to men that had grown man status pimping going on. who in their right mind wouldn't leave the Bobby situation and go to hanging with ballers.

BeBe, Love is sometimes blind- because we only see what we want to see.

◄ 2 Corinthians 6:14 ► King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
**
◄ Ephesians 5:11 ► King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

(The Message) Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil?

I DON'T KNOW IF BOBBY BROWN IS A NON BELIEVER!!

People can't understand it because they bought into the image that was created for her instead of who she really was.

and in no way did anything he said come across as being team bobby...

not to sound rude or anything but is there any black female singer that is in real life glamourous, classy, sophisticated, soft-spoken. not ghetto, or lou? And not just black singers but black famous women in general? I would be a little hurt if i found out my Janet was a hoodrat loudmouth woman. Or the Queen Diana Ross was not the sophisticated classy Diva. All we here from black females in Hollywood is how real and down they are, is there anyone that wants to be classy and sophisticated.

^^ Agree 100%

He should have written a book about the lies and tribulations of the FUCKED UP WINANS.

Most of the Winans are arrogant opportunists.

BeBe Winans is nothing more then a parasite trying to make a dime off of Whitney's name and memory. He rushed to get his book published before Cissy could publish her book. Cissy's reasons for wanting to write about her late daughter may have been cathartic, but even if it wasn't I'm sure Whitney would rather see her mother profit from a book about her than that greedy ass BeBe. All those Winans are greedy Negroes trying to hide behind religion. A reprehensible bunch of golddiggers. Just like Marvin who performed at the Republican Convention.

@10:43 Your silly ass needs to take a seat. QUICK!!! There are plenty of women who have never acted a fool, or been loud and ignorant. For starters Coretta Scott King, Lena Horne, Oprah, Cicily Tyson, Beyonce, Sade, and the list goes on. What about simpleminded white bitches like Madonna, Latinos like Jennifer Lopez (who doesn't allow people to speak to her). Don't you dare try to limit ignorance to black women. You sound like a dumbass who doesn't have a clue.

@10:43 A few years ago the queen Diana Ross was caught running through LAX screaming her head off because someone wanted an interview. Janet Jackson just slapped the spit out of Paris Jackson mouth foor calling her a bitch. SO WHAT'S YOUR POINT.....AS IF YOU EVER HAD ONE BOOBOO.

Anonymous said...

Who is this fool to refer to Whitney as his sister?Neither one of her "real" brothers wrote books trying to profit from her death. Too bad she opened the gate for his opportunistic ass to pass thru. She's probably looking down on him wishing she could check his fake ass.

Paris Jackson admitted that Janet never touched her. Janet tried to grab Paris cell phone, and Paris pulled away. There was not physical altercation between them. And Diana Ross did have an issue with alcohol, but she is the Queen who slightly fell off her throne, but she is still the Queen. I wasn't attacking Whitney, I was only pointing out the fact that I didn't understand why black women in Hollywood or other public arenas made it a point to be so relatable to blacks that they try or make it a point to hide or pretend that they are not sophisticated or classy, it's always "keep it real" personas. I would love for black women in the limelight to embrace sophistication and class, and even if certain blacks don't or can't, won't accept that, ignore them and be them. Why must a black woman be "real", only when she relates to people who aren't a certain way. Black people kill me, many felt Whitney wasn't relatable when she was packaged as a pop princess, but the minute she married Bobby Brown and her drug use went too far, than suddenly, it's oh how much they love ol crazy whitney, how whitney was real, whitney is hood. i love whitney. And make it a point to say how whitney was hood. It's like how do we know that the original whitney that came out polished, wasn't the real whitney, and this keep it real whitney was a fake, artists change their image all the time. and i know white celebs are ratchet just like black celebs, but this is a blog about black hollywood.is it possible that we can have a normal discussion without the hostility, maybe when you say your piece, i will be able to see things differently, but if your post is agressive, how can i take your opinion seriously? although i do respect your opinion.

I really would not be surprised if this occult belonging kneegro had something to do with her death! ugh opprotunist!

Let this woman Rest In Peace

2:41 - who said they wanted Black women to keep it real?

Anonymous said...

well it appears that way, like whitney always had to prove how down she was. after the soul train awards 89, whitney and clive went to her songwriter and told him they were going to go the urban direction with her music, she created a more urban persona for the Whitney album. Or the fact that FLOTUS, always makes it a point to let people know that she's from the southside of chicago, or the fact that when there is a black female artist that is poise and sophisticated , they always have to assure the black community that they are relatable or real. it's just really odd that being black is being hood/ghetto, like being anything other isn't black. and for the most part black community will disassociate with anyone they feel can't relate to the black social norms. wonder how the black community would treat black female opera singers. the black community already take issues with condelezza rice.

...forgot he was writing a book in the first place...didn't know it had been released. He certainly didn't waste any time. She's been gone for less than a year. Maybe he should have waited. Maybe he should have left it alone.

Preach!!

I bet that fool believes everything she reads on the internet too! That fool is ignorant as fuck!

@10:43 AM

You're on the fucking internet!!! Look it up yourself you idiot hermit!!

Anonymous said...

you are attacking me over people you don't know. wow, i maybe a hermit, but i don't have to go out in the world to realize that the art of communication is not attacking someone with a different opinion. have a bless day.

Anonymous said...

@11:58 PM

So says the person making generalization about a group of people they don't know!! The art of communication is not to offend and be bias!

Anonymous said...

i didn't mean to offend, but i am stating a point that whitney went out of her way to relate more to black people by becoming more urban. She did change her image. Nada a songwriter that wrote many of her earlier hts, said that after the 89 Soul Train Awards tragedy, which black folks in the audience booed her, she and Clive Davis told him they wanted to take Whitney in a more urban direction. This is recorded in his book discussing his time with Whitney. Della Reese told a black conservative larry elder that the family felt that whitney married bobby brown because they felt that she wanted to identify with blacks. Elder told her that he felt that since whitney addiction was public, it made her more relatable to blacks. If Whitney was some kind of urban black woman, there is no way she would have had the type of success she did. Whitney was sophisticated enough to get the many connections she did get in Hollywood. of course, her mother and cousin connections had alot to do with it, but how she carried herself took her a long way. Whitney was ghetto to relate, but she definitely wasn't ghetto when it came time to impress people. She didn't get the Bodyguard role being a hoodrat. Her own friend Mika Howard the singer said that Whitney was the only black woman to have that type of success, so inorder for her to have friends, she had to lower herself. I know many urban people, but the urban people i know, when to cut it out, and relate to other people.

WOW it has not even been a year and so far 2 books have come out written by 2 people who are supposed to be family to whitney...I am not buying the sympathy...if someone your truly loved passed within a year you would still be in mourning ..no way would you have the time or spiritual energy to write a book AND not to mention a reality show filmed 2 months after her passing
