All Black people do on TV now is go out to eat, fight and shop.

i guess you never saw Tia and Tamera show

Anonymous said...

This looks like Love and Hip Hop, the Hispanic edition. There are barely any Black women on here. Yet, we are still saying Black women? Tahiry and two or three of the other ladies are not African-American.

Anonymous said...

12:40, Who cares about Tia and Tamera's corny asses? The fuck.

Anonymous said...

Tia and Tamera aren't Black. They're bi-racial. Coons stay claiming mixed people as their own.

Anonymous said...

@12:38 MAN! I be saying the same thing!
@12:40, you're right! No one ever saw that show Maybe if they would've been going out to eat, fighting, and shopping more they wack ass show wouldnt've got cancelled!

Anonymous said...

Do Tia and Tamera even acknowledge public Black women? Like, seriously. LOL

Anonymous said...

aaahh, you know it's a reality show when they have the extra large unironed white table cloth on the table.

wow, what a big purse.

is that a blank painting on the wall?

I agree with Bee Gee. This is the new Blaxploitation Except this is 10X more damaging. At least some Blaxploitation films displayed coolness & strength. These shows display Mental Illness, dysfunction & Ratchetness.

Divaish said...

12:46 shut to dumb ass up...biracial ain't a race..them bitches is BLACK

Anonymous said...

@Diva, Bitch "biracial" is a mixture of two races therefore it IS a race within itself. How the fuck is a person with a White parent considered "Black"? My father is White, Mother is Black and I don't consider myself "Black". I'm BIRACIAL.

Anonymous said...

Wow. Some of y'all need to get down to your local community colleges and brush up on your history. In this country, if you have 'one drop' of black blood you are considered black. I never said it was right or that I agree, but it is what it is. Historically, the 'one drop' rule was put in place to protect the rights and privileges of white Americans, who didn't want to accept biracial people as 'one of their own.' biracial people presented a problem to the social order of the United States and were a threat to white power, privilege and social order. So, they decided that biracial people were black so they couldn't have access to the things that white people did - better jobs, education, housing, etc - basically a better life in general.

Anonymous said...

@Divaish LMFAO!!!!
That Tahiri looks crazy as shit!! Those Latinas are fiery as hell. Thank goodness they have thick ass accents so that the white people that watch it KNOW they their asses aren't black!

Anonymous said...

Plessy VS Ferguson.

Anonymous said...

@Divaish
I do have to Cosign you this time because clearly the biracial chick in here is confused. Racist whites will not give a rats ass about her only being half black.

Anonymous said...

1:28, The "one drop" rule is just another form of discrimination. The fact that you're telling people to go "brush up on history" reveals that you're ignorant. Socially, a person with "one drop" is "Black", but genetically, biologically and physically, they are NOT. If a bi-racial person wants to categorize themselves as "bi racial", so be it. Who are YOU, Divaish or any other troll to tell them otherwise? Don't forget that you used to be considered three-fifths of a person.

Ms. Lee said...

I'm biologically 75% Black and 25% Korean. While I relate to my Black culture, I also relate to my Korean culture as well. I have to co-sign the comment at 1:34. Socially, I have no choice but to be branded as "Black", but I know that I have a father with a Korean mother. I think the "1 drop rule" is outdated and offensive. It basically forces people to disregard an entire part of their heritage.

Anonymous said...

Wait. Are bi-racial women being attacked by Black women? The same Black women of the Black American community who JUST got "civil rights" in 1964? The same group of Blacks who weren't even considered a full human? Y'all need to do better, for real.

Anonymous said...

1st 1:28 YOUR ENTIRE COMMENT IS A FABRICATED CONTRADICTION OF TRUTH & REALITY.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IS BI-RACIAL AND "TPTB" CHOSE HIM FOR THAT POSITION AND A VERY LARGE PERCENTAGE OF NON-WHITES THAT GET THE SAME BENEFITS AS WHITES CLIMBING THE CORPORATE AMERICA LADDER ARE IN FACT BI-RACIAL. THE ONES WHO CAN PASS FOR WHITE OR THE ONES WHO ARE LIGHT ENOUGH TO MAKE WHITE PEOPLE FEEL EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE TO BE AROUND THEM.

SO YOU MAY NEED TO DO YOUR RESEARCH AND BRUSH UP ON YOUR CURRENT HISTORY ABOUT REAL LIFE POLITICS WITHIN THE UNITED STATES CORPORATE STRUCTURE.

Anonymous said...

@1:34 &1:42
Yes, I will state it again - go brush up on your history. Throughout my comment, I made it clear that I don't necessarily agree with the 'one drop rule' but it is what it is - a way to protect the social rights and privileges of white people while denying those same rights to blacks. Socially, biracial people HAD to be considered black to preserve the order of things. Otherwise, black people would have enjoyed the same privileges as white people and there wouldn't be a lower class to step on, enslave and humiliate. I'm not sure where or how my comment is being misconstrued. I never said it was morally right.

Anonymous said...

@1245 Cosign. This must be the Hispanic edition of L&HH bcuz Yandi is the only black chick on the show.

Anonymous said...

plenty of white ppl on tv tacky too. honey boo boo etc. Its a trend. reflection of our society.

Anonymous said...

@1:53 NEVER SPOKE ON YOUR MORALITY ABOUT YOUR COMMENT. ONLY ABOUT YOUR SO-CALLED FACTS REGARDING THE DISTRIBUTION OF BENEFITS THAT WHITES ENJOY VERSES BLACK & BI-RACIAL UNITED STATES CITIZENS.

I ACTUALLY READ YOUR COMMENT & COMPREHENDED IT AND I WOULD HOPE THAT MY COMMENT CAN GET THAT SAME BENEFIT FROM YOU.

Anonymous said...

I lost all respect for Yandy when she was running around talking about she wasn't pregnant only to be shown all up and thru the blogs at her baby shower. I know it's her own personal bizness but when you deny being pregnant and then start to show..........

Anonymous said...

Did joe & tahiry get it right on the 1st take or did they need a few tries to get the intense "reality" ?...lol I mean who does all that Xtra ish in a restaurant? Oh yeah what's a "Reality" show without people making fools of themselves in public & the Erica chic....Spare me!

Black People Are So Embarassing said...

Why do Black people support this trash?

Anonymous said...

ME TOO @ 12:49 PM
"I kinda love Tia & Tamera. #justsaying"

they're only corny to gutter rats who behave like the VH1 whores, 12:46 PM probably isn't even a productive part of society, that's why 12:46 finds women on a reality show with positive goals and class "corny", yeah 12:46 PM it's real corny having dignity, class and making sure the image you put out is respectful. 12:46 PM is probably hoping Kat Stacks and superhead get a show and put out t-shirts so 1246 can buy one in all gutter trash colors.

Anonymous said...

I love watching Tia & Tamera.Their show is very entertaining and they represent Black women well. Thank goodness even though I do watch the rachet ass shows too.(putting my head down in shame)dang

Anonymous said...

I am fans of Tia and Tamera and they self-identify as Black

ratchet: a mechanical device that allows continuous linear or rotary motion in only one direction while preventing motion in the opposite direction. Though something of a misnomer, "ratchet" is also often used to refer to ratcheting socket wrenches, a common tool with a ratcheting handle.

This is the definition of Ratchet.

Anonymous said...

Thank you Gigi Ali now I know I'm not the ONLY 1 who is extremely perturbed by this damn word

Anonymous said...

@2:01
Clearly you are referring to modern times when you speak of the President and other biracial people enjoying 'white' benefits. Come on now - do you really think my comment was meant for modern times? I was talking about HISTORICALLY. You missed the whole point of what I was saying. I read what you wrote and while I enjoyed it, it didn't speak to my previous comment at all. My whole reason of bringing up the 'one drop rule' was to speak to some of the commenters who mentioned that black people 'always want to claim people' etc. I wanted those people to know that historically biracial people were considered one of us because they posed a threat to the social order so whites came up with this rule in order to appropriate privileges along color lines. Our history is complex and filled with ugly truths, but it's still our history.

For the record, thanks for the pleasant discord. It's rare on blogs.

WHOA!!!!! IS THIS SUBJECT ON LOVE AND HIP HOP NY OR RACE??????

Anonymous said...

That blank painting on the wall must be an one of a kind...smdh

After several takes this must have been the best one despite the fact she left her purse on the chair...I would be highly offended if I paid my money to sit down and eat at a restaurant and this ratchetness going on at the table beside me, secondly I would not have allowed Mona to catch me on film unless she was cutting me a check as a background actor.

Anonymous said...

Looking forward to the bouricas making an ass of themselves. Where is that one big bone chick that Olivia punked?

Anonymous said...

@4:03 I DIDN'T MISS THAT AND I WASN'T DEFENDING THOSE THAT THINK OTHER WISE REGARDING THE "ONE DROP" RULE BUT YOUR HISTORICAL REFERENCE IS STILL NOT NEAR ACCURATE BECAUSE OF THE EXISTENCE OF THE BOULE WITHIN THE UNITED STATES THROUGHOUT POST-SLAVERY ERA LEADING UP TO 2013.

AND ALTHOUGH ALL BOULE LEADERS & MEMBERS WEREN'T LIGHT TO DAMN NEAR WHITE THEIR EXISTENCE WAS STILL THE SAME AND THAT'S MAKING SURE THAT ONLY BLACKS THAT CHOOSE TO SERVE THE WHITE AMERICAN AGENDA WOULD BE THE ONLY BLACKS & BI-RACIAL AMERICANS TO ENJOY WHITE BENEFITS AS FAR AS CORPORATE AMERICA IS CONCERNED.

Anonymous said...

@ 3:34, I believe that "RATCHET" is a country ass mispronunciation of the word "WRETCHED." Makes more sense don't it?

Anonymous said...

@4:54
The black bourgeois coexisted with the one drop rule. That's how complex it was. Many of the black bourgeois leaders were descendants of white slave owners, who arranged for them to have the best education here and overseas. The black bourgeois understood their place in society and protected it by enacting discriminatory practices like the 'brown paper bag test' against other black people who had darker skin.

Anonymous said...

@6:54 I'M WELL AWARE OF THIS FACT BUT SO MANY OF OUR PEOPLE ARE CLUELESS TO THIS.

Anonymous said...

Y'all some hopeless motherfuckas...

Consign with 1:27! Whoever that is should know that her white side considers her black. Unmmmmm is President Obama considered the first bi racial President ahhh no! He's considered the first African American president and he views himself as such . Do you ever hear him saying no don't hate me my mom is white ! I'm biracial ! Please with all that bi racial foolishness ! Go start your own country because in this country and every other country anyone mixed with black is considered black whether you like it or not! Like 1:27 said if the klan or skin heads pick you up they aren't going to say WAIT! She or he is half white ! Please you sound dumb ! As much as king coon screens from the mountain tops that he is biracial the white media refers to him as african American . Go have a seat on Coon island with all that dumb foolishness

Anonymous said...

@1:40PM - Black women are not attacking bi-racial women. It's called a debate. Also, the first comment that started this whole discussion referred to black people as "coons". That was a racist attack.

@ Black folks - Don't take the bait... Bored white folks love to come here and set it off among black people. Like throwing meat at hungry dogs and watching them fight just for entertainment.

Truth is, our society groups people based on appearance. It isn't scientifically measured. For example, bi-racial Asian people are usually considered Asian unless they "look" white. Same with Hispanic, Indian, etc. Those who KNOW you may draw the distinction, but strangers will assume based on how you look and will treat you accordingly.

To the biracial women that are trying to distance themselves from being considered Black - You don't have to accept your blackness but you can't run away from it no matter how much you want to... the black is in you (full black or not). It's really sad when a Biracial person that is mixed with black obviously hates part of their heritage. Be proud of ALL of who you are instead of trying to separate yourself in order to try to gain acceptance by the dominant race. Maybe you aren't full black... but you are not white either. Most white people (if they are who you are trying to align yourself with) won't draw a distinction. If they deal with or date bi-racial people they will likely also date and deal with a black person.

Can we get one post that doesn't turn into a race war?

Anonymous said...

12:03am I was waiting for a comment on that lol. I enjoyed the discourse on race. These shows really should be boycotted, I am guilty of watching some as well (mostly to see how bad it will be, but I contribute to ratings :( "Reality" television has gone too far with the effery. Good thing I still enjoy reading. Won't be tuning in for this mess.

Anonymous said...

@12:45, your comment is ridiculous, and one I have heard numerous times from African-Americans. There are black people in many corners of the world, especially in the Caribbean islands of the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. African-Americans are not the only "black" people in existence, we are all descendants of the Mother land-Africa.

Anonymous said...

Joe Budden physically assaults women. Bitch nigga.

Anonymous said...

Tia and Tamera consider themselves black because they said that their fathers family (he's white) rejected him and them so they don't know anything about them. Instead of digging into their fathers history they dug into their mothers history. Their mothers family is from the Islands so they went back and found them.

Anonymous said...

I don't understand why some people feel the need to define others. If someone is bi-racial and he wants to identify as black or white or bi-racial, or whatever, they can do that. Just because white people from 300 years ago said "one drop of black blood makes you black" doesn't make it so.

They were the same people that want people of color to think Jesus was a pale white man with blue eyes and blonde.
