Last year, hours before she was to attend Clive Davis' annual Pre-Grammy Party, Whitney Houston was found face down and unresponsive in her bathtub at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Cissy tells Access Hollywood,
“I got an invitation to the party — which is the most obscene thing.”
“I don’t know why they would want me to come to the party in which she died, you know? Unheard of.”
“I guess maybe he just sent me a copy for remembrance sake.”Pat and Gary Houston have accepted the invitation and will attend the party.

2. Part of Whitney's problem was the fact that her parents were not present during her early childhood. Cissy is always acting holier-than-thou and criticizing Whitney's enablers, but Whitney would not have had such serious issues if she had a better foundation built by stable, responsible parents.
3. Cissy stood by and said nothing while Bobby got trashed in the media, being blamed for Whitney's drug problems. Not saying she had to like Bobby, but she should have been thinking about her granddaughter and how her dad's tarnished reputation would affect Bobbi Kris.
4. Cissy was the one who exploited Whitney first. How do you think Whitney got the chance to work with Clive Davis? Cissy set it up and agreed to it! She pimped her daughter out so she could get some second hand shine from Whitney's talent, because Cissy's career was a dud!
5. Cissy was the one taking underaged Whitney to sing with her in nightclubs surrounded by drugs, drink, and the fast life, and making her change into choir robes so she could sing in church in the morning. Isnt' there something wrong with that picture?

I thought it was bad form for many of the people who went to the party last year. If anything Clive should have shut down the red carpet. It was crazy to me people like Gladys Knight talking about Whitney was like a niece to her but you're ok enough with her death to waltz her ass down the red carpet while Whits body is still half way warm up stairs. Whitney's daughter is freaking out upstairs but you're downstairs bumping elbows with other people and yacking it up. Glays wasn't the only one. The only one who seemed to have some kind of common sense was Chaka Khan who refused to go.

You know it amazes me how people take things and make out of it what they want. In Cissy eyes she sees it as a bad thing. Some people may want to go back as a place of remembering everything is not always meant with bad intentions. We will say Clive is just trying toget noticed. The man is beyond RICH.
