Comedian Dave Chappelle made a rare appearance at a New York comedy club the other night sparking rumors that his self-imposed exile may soon be over...
According to reports Dave showed up at The Comedy Cellar around midnight and took the stage for a 45 minute set.
Dave was later joined by Chris Rock and the two went back and fourth with each other sparring on stage.
They even talked about going on tour together.

If he does come back, which I think he will. At least he is coming back because he wants to and not because they (white execs) are making him. Dave Chappelle was and I'm sure still is a good comic. he walked away from a 50 million dollar deal when he quit his show to go to south africa and have some type of therapy. he did not get 50 million dollars. he might be regretting that choice now.......
I doubt he misses the money when all can see what Kayne, Lindsay, Brittany and Lady Gaga are going through. The list goes on. All money ain't good money. I can appreciate a person with integrity and can walk away from millions because that doesn’t want to become sex slaves for riches. I think he didn’t want to be sodomized for his career and had to hide out in Africa. I would have done the same.

I never really cared for D.Chappelle. I just didn't think he was funny...::shrugs:: Everyone's sense of humor is different though. Chris Rock says some funny stuff from time to time but it takes awhile for me to warm up to him too but someone above said Marlon Wayans was there- THAT man there is a FOOL. Him and the rest of his siblings.

Doubt he is broke. He said in his interview that he was good, but didn't take the money because he wasn't about to shuck and jive for the man. He didn't want to sell his soul. He said he was happier doing stand up anyway. I definitely would go see him on tour.

Dave didn't take the money and good for him---but I doubt he's hurting financially. He made a good sum, before he went into exile and probably doesn't have to work anymore unless he wants too. He also came from a good family and has a great father that's been his adviser. If he comes back, it will be because he misses the stage and doing what he loves. Dave's one of the good guys!
