Jet Magazine Forced to Apologize to Fantasia

Last week Fantasia Barrino raised a stink after Jet Magazine chose to use a 10 year old pictures for her cover story [click here if you missed that].

What you don't know is that the Jet editor-in-chief also posted a disparaging Facebook status on her personal Facebook page about Fantasia being illiterate, a status that was circulated online...

According to The Root Jet editor-in-chief Mitizi Miller was discussing the incident with friends on Facebook when she remarked,
"The fact that I wasted an hour of my workday writing a press release to address an issue created by a person who cannot even read it is just... #whyiwannaBahousewife."
Harsh.

After Mitizi's remarks made the rounds online, a statement was issued to Madame Noir
“I apologize for the lack of sensitivity shown in my FaceBook post. It was a thoughtless comment made during a moment of frustration. It was unprofessional and not representative of the JET mission, which is to uplift. I regret letting my emotions get the best of me. I am truly apologetic.”
