For weeks there have been rumors about who would be joining the cast of the LA spin off of R&B Divas.
The official cast has just been announced...
The new Divas are Kelly Price, Chante Moore, Lil’ Mo, Claudette Ortiz, Michel’le and Dawn Robinson.
Production for the eight episode series begins in LA later this month.

Claudette Ortiz, wow! What happened to her? She can sing just as good as Beyonce and she looks just as good. My guess is that she wasn't willing to sell her body and soul for fame; therefore she fell off!

Thx for clarifying 5:51pm. I was like Claudette who????? Now I remember the group. As for Dawn Robinson, I believe she and the other girls had a falling out partly because of money issues and Dawn's husband who was reportedly abusive and controlling @ the time. He believed Dawn should leave the group, which she did.
I'm not saying she was the only reason why the group fell apart, b/c I believe one or more of the women had a hand in the downfall. What a pity.
BTW, I loved me some Lucy Pearl as well, still have their song Dance tonight on my IPOD.

Basically, it was too easy which made "them" not take her seriously.
...back then everyone didn't have to sleep with anyone to get a deal, tracks, etc. But, she has a reputation. The men would have sex, make promises and never fulfill them. When you step into a business with a (I'm going to sleep my way to the top) mentality, it DOES NOT work. You have to be dedicated to the craft and put in the work.
