Insiders claim Whitney Houston's former best friend Robyn Crawford is livid with the way she's been portrayed in Cissy Houston's memoir 'Remembering Whitney' and is considering writing her own book to set the record straight...

“Cissy has caught herself up in a shocking web of lies,” a close source revealed.
“She claims she didn’t care whether Robyn was gay, but she hated Robyn for the rumors that she and Whitney were lovers. She was worried that the stories would destroy her daughter’s career.”
The source notes that Cissy was so concerned about Whitney’s relationship with Robyn “she did everything in her power to stop it,” and even pushed Whitney to pursue a romance with hip-hop bad boy Bobby Brown to get her away from Robyn.
In his 1998 book “Good Girl Bad Girl,” co-author Kevin Ammons – who dated Whitney’s former publicist Regina Brown – quotes Cissy as saying it wasn’t “natural” for the two women to be so close. He goes on to allege that Cissy exploded at Robyn for fighting with Whitney, who had just received a gift of 400 roses from Brown.
That story does NOT appear in Cissy’s book.
Whitney and Robyn drifted apart after the superstar singer married Brown in 1992, and throughout the years, both women denied they’d had a lesbian relationship.
Meanwhile, Robyn is said to be livid over the book and concerned about her reputation.
“Robyn doesn’t want Cissy to have the final say,” the source explained. “Now, she may even write her own book to set history straight.”

Whitney was a lesbian and everyone knew it. One of her former bodyguards wrote a book years ago and talked about it then. He even talked about Whitney's drug use. Clive and Cissy just covered the story up. Bobby made the comment recently that he and Whitney and some famous women were in the back of a limo and Whitney and the women were getting it on and he watched and smoked weed. This was said right after she died. A foreign limo driver repeated the story.

She should have her say she's a person and most people don't like to be viewed in an untrue light. If she were doing this for money she could of done so when their relationship broke up. She could of done it when Whitney died when every limo driver and anyone every associated with Whitney were giving stories .she was very close to her she could of been on CNN CNbc ABC NBC getting paid for her take on things but she remained silent until. I have written this numerous times. Whitney did drugs they way she did because she was unhappy with how ppl wanted her to live her life. Her and Robyn go way back and because everyoe wanted her to be this Glamourous singer they would not let her dress or act the way she wanted. Whit's mom even had their neighbor/ friend take Whit to the prom. SHe only allowed her son to come clean and say that it was he who got Whitney hooked as a favor to Bobby to clear his name or else he would have forever been blamed as the person who killed Whit for getting her hooked on drugs. I really hope Robyn writes this book she has been silent for too many years. People will deny and refuse to beleive it but the truth is that was Whit's true love.

I always believed Whitney married Bobby to quiet the lesbian rumors. And I also believe she went to drugs because she couldn't come out as gay.
I remember first hearing the gay rumors about Whitney back in 1990. Funny thing was, I was 16, and my 11 year old cousin was the first person I heard it from.
2 years later, Whitney got married to Bobbay, and everybody I knew thought it was weird. When Whit and Bob did that duet, "We Have Something in Common", I remember one of the local radio DJs used to joke about it every time they played it, calling the song, "We Have NOTHING in Common".
I know the youngsters don't realize Bobby was a big star back then. He was like Chris Brown back in the day-- bad boy-- but not abusive and all that. Just arrogant, outspoken, and a lot of girls thought he was sexy. He actually dated Madonna (when she opened for New Edition-- yes, New Edition was once bigger than Madonna) and he dated Janet Jackson, too.
But still, when he and Whitney got married, it threw everyone for a loop, because we thought she would marry some stable, good guy, not a ratchet bad boy like Bobby.
It's a shame things turned out the way they did. No one could help Whitney if she refused to help herself... she always presented herself as being devoutly religious and full of faith, but she should have put more faith in herself. SMH.
