Last year Hip Hop artist M.I.A. was accused of abandoning her son and fiance Ben Bronfman [click here if you missed that].
Now M.I.A. is accusing Ben and his family of trying to take her son...
Yesterday M.I.A. posted a rant on Twitter directed her former fiance and his rich family.
Rapper M.I.A has been banned by a court from taking her and Benjamin Bronfman’s son out of Brooklyn, where they live separately following their split last year. Sources exclusively tell Page Six that Bronfman, the son of music mogul and Seagram’s heir Edgar Bronfman Jr., got a restraining order in Kings County Court after M.I.A allegedly threatened to take their son Ikhyd, 4, to her native London. A source tells us, “M.I.A has been texting and calling Ben, saying she will take their son to London, even though they both live in Brooklyn and the child goes to school there.” The source added, “Ben filed a motion for a temporary restraining order preventing her from taking their son to the UK against his wishes.” The court granted Bronfman’s petition, and M.I.A was served with the legal paperwork last night. On Twitter, the rapper has accused the wealthy Bronfman family of trying “to take my child away from me.” Bronfman’s lawyer, Susan Moss, declined to comment, and the rapper’s record label rep didn’t get back to us by deadline.
