Not many buy urban magazines anymore...especially not when we have access to all these urban blogs. RIP VIBE MAG

I actually thought that vibe had been out of business a while ago.

^^^I was about to post what 1:59 PM said. I used to read Vibe back in the 90s, back when print media was king and the internet as we now know it didn't yet exist. Blogs are more environmentally friendly in the sense that they don't use paper and ink, and they don't take up physical space the way magazines do. But it's still sometimes hard to see some of the things I grew up with becoming extinct, it makes me feel like a relic who lived through the dinosaur years or something, LOL!

How many people still buy paper magazines?

I'm not aware of who bought it, but I'm sure it's some Yt people. It started with BET and from there we've been selling our shit to them knowing damn well that they are going to do with it.

Business wise - it makes sense to only do e-format for mags. Save on printing and if the issue doesn't sell there's no lost $$$ on printing. I personally prefer the e-format b/c it's interactive (videos, web links), the color is banging if you an HD tablet, and you don't have a bunch of mags taking up space at your home.

@1:52 no she does'nt. In my opinion Mary is a timeless musician who has managed to grow with her demographic. I love MJB and she looks beautiful in that picture.

The Hip Hop generation grown & moved on. The "stars" out today just aren't interesting. They are more nauseating & annoying than entertaining.
