Jay Z is under investigation by the NFLPA for violating runner rules after Roc Nation Sports signed NY Jets Geno Smith...
The trouble started last week after Geno Instagramed a picture of himself and Jay Z shortly before it was announced that he was signing with Roc Nation [click here if you missed that].
Then CBS Sports quoted defensive tackle John Thornton saying, "I was in those meetings and Jay-Z connected with [Geno] on many levels."
The problem is Jay Z is not an NFLPA certified agent and as a runner, he's not allowed to be in on those meetings.
John Thornton later said he was misquoted.
The investigation is ongoing.
