OJ Simpson Hoping for a New Trial

OJ Simpson is in court today to request a new trial in his armed robbery case...

Back in 2008 OJ Simpson was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping after he and three friends retrieved sports memorabilia from a broker who OJ believed stole items from his home [click here if you missed that].

OJ is seeking a new trial on the grounds that his attorney, Yale Galanter, never told him that he'd been offered a two year plea deal.

OJ also claims he checked with Galanter before staging the hold up and that he was told he was within his legal rights.

OJ is currently on his fifth year of a fifteen years to life prison sentence.

This is the second time OJ has asked for a retrial [click here if you missed that].
