Angela Stanton's Lawyer Jumps Ship

Last week a court date was set for Phaedra Parks' defamation of character lawsuit against Vibe Magazine and author Angela Stanton over Angela's damning memoir, 'Lies of a Real Housewife [click here if you missed that].'

Looks like justice will have to wait because Angela's lawyer just quit on her...

According to the AJC Angela Stanton's lawyer, who had been working pro bono, withdrew from the case and filed for a five month continuance to give Angela time to find new counsel.

Included in the case file was a copy of the notice Mr. Beal sent to Angela that read,
"I will no longer represent you in your case in which you are a defendant. I am terminating my attorney-client relationship with you because we have irreconcilable philosophical differences regarding how your case should be handled."
