Ferris Wheel Riders Stranded for Beyonce

One unlucky couple was stranded at the top of the Wonder Wheel on Coney Island for thirty minutes while the ride was cleared for Beyonce and her pals...

From The NY Post
A woman who claims she is deathly afraid of heights got stuck on the Coney Island Wonder Wheel for nearly half an hour last night — because of Beyoncé.
Dorris Hone, 47, went on the ride with a friend at about 7:30 p.m. and was left dangling from the 150-foot attraction as the diva’s entourage commandeered the Ferris wheel for a video shoot.
“When I was realized I was stuck up there, we were up there for a while, I started freaking out,” Hone said. “I’m afraid of heights. I was horrified.”
Beyoncé had been at Coney Island for the shoot for hours, and was captured on camera riding several of the famous attractions, including the Cyclone roller coaster. But when she got to the Wonder Wheel, the ordeal began for the Manhattan woman.
The amusement park’s staff unloaded about six to 10 other riders from the cars as Beyoncé arrived.
“I just didn’t understand why they would do that,” Hone said.
“I didn’t know at first — but it was Beyoncé.”
The bootylicious star was prepping with makeup below as Hone’s fear of heights started to get the best of her.
“She was screaming at the top of her lungs, ‘Get me off this ride,’ ” said her friend, who asked not to be named. “She was just hysterical up there.”
But with all the crazed Beyoncé fans down below, no one could hear Hone’s screams.
Eventually, the wheel moved again. That’s when a flustered Hone exited and found out the pop star was behind her ordeal.
“Ironically, my son is a big fan of Beyoncé,” the single mother said. “I’m just really shaken up.
“It would be nice to get an apology from her.”

If that really happened then one question, why not call 911 if she was unsure or thought she was stuck? Also if they unloaded carS plural why wouldn't they unload her? As high profile of a celebrity as Beyonce is why would they leave themselves that open for a lawsuit? Something just doesn't add up. #ijs

that makes no sense, if your afraid of heights then you aren't going to go on a ride that goes high...people whom are afraid of heights usually stay grounded..poor excuse from someone tryin to get attention

damn you hos, I have a fear of height and I've gone on that ride, passing by for 10 seconds and being stranded for 30 min is two totally different sensations. Even if you're not afraid , the possibility of the ride being broken or being forgotten is frightening enough.

kiss her ass

1.Why wasn't the ride cleared in the first place?

2. Why is her SON such a huge fan?

3. What non-existing single off which make-believe album is she "shooting" now?

4. Why does the face she is making on this ride even look staged lol!!

9:19 there is a difference between a fear of heights and being "deathly afraid of heights", some one who is deathly afraid doesn't go on a super fast super high roller coaster.

Beyonce better than me. She is,able to keep her eyes open and raise her hands. Usually my eyes are closed and holding on for dear life.

"Bey good" not considerin others and lookin out fa self only?! I dont believe a word ( insert sarcasm * rolls eyes * )

This is the part of beyonces life that is conveniently edited out of her 'bey good' campaigns and her mockumenteries

Beyonce, you are going to really make somebody hurt your ass one day. First, the hospital stunt, now this bullshit. You are not the president, even the president would not have pulled the shit that you have pulled. Fall back.

Poor thang. Her 15 minutes is up, now she needs amusement parks to stay relevent, last time it was ordering a bowl of chicken. Over exposure is a bitch.

That's fucked up.

Nobody with a fear of heights get's on a 150ft ride. Period.

Afraid of heights but gets on a ride that goes that high... Miss me with that. Those of you who are blaming Beyonce, lets not forget they have to get permits and pay to shoot your video at Coney Island. This woman also didn't mention what she got either for her inconveince. Before the ride started... those who were left on the Ferris wheel (by choice) and those people inconveinced at the other rides and attractions all walked away with something.

Anonymous said...

She wants a apology? Is she going to give back her extra pay???!? She chose to stay seated in that Ferris Wheel for a chance to be in a Beyonce Video and now she has a tude. GYL! If they let other people off why didn't you get off and get back on. Not only did you get extra pay but you got a trip back to Coney Island. If you signed that paper you can't sue either.

And there is no tricks Beyonce needs to do to "Stay Relevant" just by you dislike'rs commenting on these stories keep her relevant. Why you think post 2 stories a day? He know how to get those hit and keep the sponsers happy.

why do people automatically back entertainers or should I call it as it is - kiss a$$. People who are afraid of heights do things to attempt to get over their fear. IS THE WORLD REALLY THAT STAR STRUCK. PITIFUL

Why the fuck did the woman go on a ferris wheel if she is afraid of heights? That's what her ass gets!

Anonymous said...

I live in Brooklyn and go to Coney Island alot. When you get on the Wonder Wheel its not just one trip around it takes a while for the people in the cars before you to be unloaded so she was up there for the same amount of time as everybody else when Beyonce isn't there. People are always searching for attention no apology needed that was a routine trip on the wonder wheel.

10:30 - I usually don't back celebrities but I'm not going to look at a platypus and call it a duck when something's off. As previous posters have said, if it was for a music video everyone involved got something. The lady in this post clearly swerved out of her lane when she claimed that Beyonce triggered her fear of heights when she could have damn well gotten off the ride or called the police for help. And don't you dare try to tell me not everyone and their grandmother has a cell phone.

Now that that's said, this better be the music video for "Standing on the Sun". That is the only song from Beyonce I am checking for, since she doesn't know anything about album releases anymore.

Common sense would dictate that it's the fault of the workers at Coney Island. It is there responsibility to make sure the ride is fully evacuated, so someone explain to me how this is Beyonce's fault and why Beyonce owes her an apology? Coney Island Ferris owes you the apology, it was their neglect.

Cosign 10:30, this Hasbeen can't make the blog news for putting out great music and hits, now that everyone knows she is overrated, there is nothing left to talk about except wack things like this and how her surrogate daughter looks.

stupid situation all the way around. that lady is an attention whore who was out attention whored by the master. what was so hard about clearing the ride before you shot a video?

Tippie Toes said...

Ms Hone folks who are really afraid of heights would not ride a Ferris Wheels or Roller Coasters or even want to enter into tall buildings...

Anonymous said...

of course people who have a fear of heights get on roller coasters and other rides. i did (once). people do things that make them nervous or fearful all the time. there are varying degrees of phobias. people do things to try to conquer their fears or go along with a group or just for an adrenalin rush.

even a person who doesn't think they have acrophobia might find themselves getting very nervous when kept on a ferris wheel against their will for half an hour. and being made to do things against one's will can bring out anger or fear, or both.

i have a fear of elevators, but i still use them. people do things against their fears all the time, i'm telling you.

Am I'm the only one seeing the picture of Beyonce doing those devil horns? I betcha these stans gonna say it's not the devil horns that represent Houston or some shit like that. Everyday when I check on this site, it always a topic on this narcissistic woman and thinking she's humble but she's not and this year ain't a good year for her.

1. People exposing her lip-syncing at the inauguration

2. People exposing her at the super bowl with these symbolic rituals and stuff like that

3. She did this water down documentary on HBO (should have that shit on BET) Life is but a Dream whatever the name of it. I didn't see it but people was saying that Blue Ivy was showing for the 1st time for 5 seconds, addressing the rumors about that fake bump, and why she fired her grandad manager.

4. The Cuba incident with her pet giraffe

5. The song about bow down 2 mm. WTF would you make a song like that and u are over 30 years old. Which female artist ever make a song like that?

6. This international singer (forgot her name) called her out for copying her style and billboard.

7.Folks talking about her daughter dressing like a boy and her hair not comb

8. Did an animated movie which it flops

9. Having a tour without new material and the same songs & dance

10 The child cut her weave then added more piece of it people thought it was her real hair.

I know there more but anyway what I'm trying to say is that why is this narcissistic woman is on TV everyday if she's not making any new music. We got other artist (basically the R&B females) not making any music but they not on TV if it has not has something 2 do with any new music

Anonymous said...

Omg I not to long moved to New York but I have not been to Coney Island yet. I need to get my ass there.

?: When will I get me some new music Bey?

Anonymous said...

How are they looking for fame when they were stuck on the ride? When they exited the ride the media was taking pics of them.
I dont like spiders, but I would be beyond afraid if I was stuck in a room full for 30m.
Do some of you actually think?

Alright hos you right, the fear of height bitch is wrong
but I still hate this trick , everywhere she goes she piss someone off, the hospital, shooting WDYLM and now this...stay home Bouncy

Whatever...Typical Beyonce. Wonder where she inspired this idea from? Didn't Tamar do a video at an amusement park? I think in Beyonce's mind she is still a teenager. Why is she still so immature at 31?

My daughter does not like escalators so I have to take my time so she can get it together and get on. I don't like the ride that goes up slow and then drops real fast but I do it cause I don't want to kill everybody else's fun. So I can see what this woman is saying. First of all the idiots who controls the ride should have made sure everyone was off so I wouldn't put the blame on Beyacki.

You Beyonce fans are cruel and mentally unstable. No you fools did not just say that this woman is looking for her 15 minutes of fame. Just because this woman has a fear of heights does not mean she is stupid forgetting on a Ferris Wheel when you EXPECT TO GET OFF AFTER IT'S OVER! She got stuck! Even people who aren't fearful of heights may get scared if they get stuck on a ride.

I swear there needs to be a mass genocide of Beyonce fans.

It's really sad how this one woman has so many people getting their "LIFE" from everything she does. They eat, breathe, shit and live because of this woman. A woman who lies, cheats, steals, is very insecure, uses sex and anything else lately besides her music, to get attention and has the mind of a child. What is going on in the lives of people who start bowing down to entertainers and believing they are serving gods? She's just another human being, but when you read or hear what her stans have to say, you wouldn't know she is human, sinful, and imperfect like every human upon the Earth. The state of the world is hopeless. MLK's speech was honored where he talked about judging people by their character, not the color of their skin. Bey's character has only been judged by her actions and she's been far from holy and has stans that use her skin color in a way that MLK spoke against and it mainly applied to how non-black people, treat black people. Not this black idiot stans of hers judging their own people. Disgrace! Everything is so dumbed down that what use to make sense and was intelligent is no more. We are in trouble folks. Intelligent people judge Bey's character which has little to do about how well of a performer she is.

Faux smile. Faux excitement. Not genuine.

Pretend, pretend, pretend. Some desperate in need of a life of their own fan is going to buy it. Thinking what she does somehow makes them great, when they're still losers.

her fans are dumb as she is

I have always I repeat always been afraid of heights but I have enjoyed many roller coasters, free falls and such earlier in life. It's like since I've got older and had my children it's 20x worse though I can hardly bring myself to get on anything that leaves the ground! I feel sorry for this lady because its not like she was skydiving. She probably felt safe with her friend and never expected to be stuck up there for so long..
