Ferris Wheel Riders Stranded for Beyonce

One unlucky couple was stranded at the top of the Wonder Wheel on Coney Island for thirty minutes while the ride was cleared for Beyonce and her pals...

From The NY Post
A woman who claims she is deathly afraid of heights got stuck on the Coney Island Wonder Wheel for nearly half an hour last night — because of Beyoncé.
Dorris Hone, 47, went on the ride with a friend at about 7:30 p.m. and was left dangling from the 150-foot attraction as the diva’s entourage commandeered the Ferris wheel for a video shoot.
“When I was realized I was stuck up there, we were up there for a while, I started freaking out,” Hone said. “I’m afraid of heights. I was horrified.”
Beyoncé had been at Coney Island for the shoot for hours, and was captured on camera riding several of the famous attractions, including the Cyclone roller coaster. But when she got to the Wonder Wheel, the ordeal began for the Manhattan woman.
The amusement park’s staff unloaded about six to 10 other riders from the cars as Beyoncé arrived.
“I just didn’t understand why they would do that,” Hone said.
“I didn’t know at first — but it was Beyoncé.”
The bootylicious star was prepping with makeup below as Hone’s fear of heights started to get the best of her.
“She was screaming at the top of her lungs, ‘Get me off this ride,’ ” said her friend, who asked not to be named. “She was just hysterical up there.”
But with all the crazed Beyoncé fans down below, no one could hear Hone’s screams.
Eventually, the wheel moved again. That’s when a flustered Hone exited and found out the pop star was behind her ordeal.
“Ironically, my son is a big fan of Beyoncé,” the single mother said. “I’m just really shaken up.
“It would be nice to get an apology from her.”
