Last night Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won the Grammy for Best Rap Album over Drake, Jay Z, Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar and after the show Macklemore apologized to Kendrick for 'robbing' him...

Kendrick is smart enough not to be surprised at the Grammy committee. They stay doing shit like that to the rap category.
Congrats to Kendrick for being honored for that amazing album.

Man we need to start honoring ourselves more and have more unity with our music so shit like won't matter.

They gave Justin Timberfake the R&B award over Anthony Hamilton who is R&B.

Kendrick killed that performance with Fire Dragon...I mean killed it!!!! Shit got me downloading Fire Dragons's shit...

This corny white boy swept the rap category... This guy maybe an independent artist but he sold out to somebody

LYING ASS KRACKER.

We knew what it was gonna be coming from the Grammys!

Kendrick Slew.

Imagine Dragons, not Fire Dragons.

Well I haven't really heard much of Kendrick's music to understand the hype. I mean this Macklemore person isn't all that either with like what two or three songs. So he doesn't deserve it either.

That's why I don't watch the Grammy's anymore cause they are fixed. I can not stand that Timber fake and Robbing Thicke is about to make me not like him. I'm sick of them stealing our music with these losers.

lol @ Fire Dragons, GTFOH

Nothing but lip service.

Just because your music is played at bar mitzvahs and soccer mom commutes does not make you hip hop or deserving of a Grammy. The Zionist jew and gay agenda *cough* Clive Davis *cough* is real y'all. Everything about Mackerelmore is phony and contrived.

Neither of them should have won. IMO.

White privilege strikes again.

I don't really listen to rap as much as I used to in the 90s but I like Kendrick Lamar I think he killed the rap game last year.

@8:38

I don't watch the grammys anymore, either. As soon as I heard they weren't going to show the R&B categories on the broadcast, I decided not to even bother.

This just goes to show people that WHITE folks are the majority of HipHop fans now. Hiphop = TODAY'S POP.

All the Lil Waynes and Jay Zs and Kanyes with their Niggaz in Paris and other filthy lyrics and tearing black women down are selling their product to mostly white people.

Hiphop is no longer about broadcasting the ills of the community and the "realness of the streets" to our people. It's just a step-n-fetchit performance set to a lazy beat for white people to gawk at us and create more stereotypes to discriminate against us with.

And now, they are even mimicking the black artists and taking awards for best rap, hiphop, R&B, etc!

Black people, it's time to WAKE UP!

Anyone with a gay agenda will always win, so it's no surprise that Macklamore has been winning everything and performing that song everywhere.

Anonymous said...

Well at least he realized it too! smh

Oh and 10:04 you are so correct! I'm not a rap head but I've been one of the few black folks to attend a rap concert and they are definitely white washed. I go with my man and we always look out of place.

These rappers know who shows up to their concerts too, which is why I get pissed when I hear the N word being thrown around and lyrics straight up clowning black women. My first experience was a gift for my man and the second was a date he planned...we learned our lessons, won't be supporting that again. Let them keep cooning for white folks.

Very classy move. A gracious winner to say the least. I love the way in which he handled this with Kendrick.

Lord only knows if someone else had lost .... he would have went H.A.M. screamed racism, stormed the stage and made a complete ass of himself.

^^^^^lqtm, that's for Kanye.

both sides kept it very classy.

I'm glad he's telling the truth! I blame that gay song he released this summer. Same as Frank Ocean - nigga ain't all that, he just gay and dramatic. The industry likes drama.

When you push the gay agenda, you win. Hollywood is run by homosexuals and so are the people who make up the committee. I wouldn't be surprised if Macklemore engaged in some homosexual acts to get to where he is.

That performance was a big ritual to indoctrinate the masses. Latifa and that witch Madonna were the high priestesses.

It's what I call the "India.Aarie move"....Kendrick's GKMC was the shizz and he's really talented...But I do suspect other shows will gloss over it by giving him miscellaneous awards to make up for it...But it's an insult to the culture of black music that "Who Let The Dogs Out" can win Song of the Year (or album???not really too sure which) or someone like Timberlake,(who cannot be compared to the likes of Teena Marie in Blue Eyed Soul RnB)can win in these categories but real artistry within a music culture our people started is practically given a tap on the head with a "Nice try kid, maybe next time"...But I do applaud their good sportsmanship-like responses...We are practically losing our music culture...

^^^^ You are absolutely correct!

^^^^ "We are practically losing our music culture..."

Wrong! We have already lost our musical cultrue. So many talented brothers and sistas took the devil's money bait and allowed the demons like Clive Davis to steal our culture! Hip hop is dead and so is R&B!

stop watching the grammys there not for our people

my problem is that rap,,,,doesnt belong to the blk struggle any more,,,becuz , i would of swear that all blk men are popping bottles ,fucking top models ,esp the non blk ones and red bonez ,,and making money rain, like money anit no thing,,,,so y when a white guy who wanna rap about the everyday life,,and everyday life situation ,, even if it about sexual lifestyle and loving someone with fun and respect ,,, and these blk rappers these dayz only like to rap about , keeping everything on the low ,,,and glorifying senseless violence demeaning females just to make a rhyme sound good,,,,,so applaud this white rapper 4 keeping real and keeping it rite for the everyday people who wanna relate to 9-5 work star ,,not the delusional superstar,,thaT most blk people never would ever be

I don't really fuck with awards shows, but the only reason I'd watch the grammy awards is if I needed to make myself vomit profusely. Nobody should be surprised by this.

There's a whole bunch of brothas that still spit real rap about real issues. They're underground and on independent labels if they're lucky.

The grammy's ain't checkin for these brothas - let's not get it twisted and be made to think that there isn't real and socially conscious rap music being put out. The curve ball is that the mainstream niggas have sold completely the fuck out to the trash that their largely white audience loves. So when a cat like Macklamore comes along it's not hard for the mainstream to treat him like some comet that is only seen once every few decades.

Brothas are still treating the music, the art form, and the culture the way it should be treated. They're out there. Let's not kid ourselves though. If you think that black rap artists are all on some "money, bitches, and drugs" shit, you need to ask around and find out where the path to the underground is, cuz yo ass can't see it. They're there. I'm not gonna knock Macklamore at all. Hell he was part of that underground for a long time. But the mainstream is corny and the gay agenda is enormous in this country right now. So a white cat with rap skill rapping content sympathetic to gays is a good bet to blow up.

I think Kendrick knew what it was hell we all do..and no I didn't watch this bullshit fest..caught a cupla performances on you tube..they can go to hell..if artist would stop being so damm greedy for money and applause and make music for the love of it then maybe our music could stay safe underground where they can't try to emulate it and try to claim it..i realize people wanna get paid and recognized for their hard work but it's clear that it's at the expense of the listening public..#takeourshitback

It's been that way since the late 1980's and early 1990's with the proliferation of Gangster rap.

I witnessed this phenomenon first hand way back then as it was unfolding. If you think about it, there are not enough Black folk in this country to buy enough unit for these folk to go platinum, etc.
