Cash Money Opens Sports Agency

If Jay Z and Roc Nation can do it I guess Birdman and Cash Money can do it too.

Cash Money just signed the first athlete to their roster...

According to TMZ Cash Money Sports just signed Texas A&M wide receiver Mike Evans.

Cash Money Sports is run by Bryan "Birdman" Williams and his brother Ronald "Slim" Williams.

I'm pretty sure this guy being signed to them will not benefit him one bit..

It's obvious that majority of Black folks really only ever aspire to be rappers, athletes, and club "models." Shit is real sad on a cultural and social level. So glad that my son is in college for Microbiology.

I'm pretty sure these to dummy's are not the brains behind this business, or the music business. We all know there is a Jewish white person at the helm.

These black entertainers act like they're the brains behind all these power moves.

@11:30. Why does this one story about one random man make it "obvious that the majority of Black folks only ever aspire to be rappers, athletes......). The last sentence of your own post serves to disprove your very own stupid point..( I assume you are Black)...either way stop making assumptions about a whole race of people based on what you read on the internet or see on the news.

Why does the look on his face seems like he didn't have a "choice" in signing. And why does it look like this is a backroom deal.

Who's next to get an agency? Suge Knight?

Anonymous said...

11:30. I agree with you. It's a shame to see some black folks well into there forties chasing a rap dream or well into there 30's chasing ball dreams.

I wonder of baby fuck them in the butt too, like Wayne and drake. Lol. Then rape their pockets

I agree with you. Some people are so ignorant and full of themselves. I love going to HBCU graduation ceremonies to see the evidence of our progress so I won't start believing the hype & talking stupid.

I can't imagine Birdman with all those tattoos and diamonds in his mouth actually sitting down with someone trying to make a deal for me...

@12:39. You read mind. I would think he has partnered with an agency that's already licensed and he's just courting the idiots that wanna be down with Cash Money. I'm not mad at expanding your business but lets keep it real. Baby does not have a license to rep athletes. I'm sure he's affiliated with an agency on commission.

I just hope to God this kid had an outside attorney look at the contract before signing because we alll know that Baby is like Diddy in the contract department........

THANK YOU!

I was studying English and remember Negros mocking me asking "what the fuck you gonna do with an English degree" and thinking they were gonna be the next Jay-Z, Russell Simmons all because they, like most of the Black folks at my university, were studying business. I swear, that is what most of them were trying to be--a "businessman" like Camel. Why not a businessperson like John Utendahl? Or a black business person not associated with the hip-hop industry or sports?

Well, my English degree allowed me to travel and work overseas. Plus I got to travel to Thailand for vacation. All of those niggas went back to Detroit with their business degrees and have no aspirations beyond a Bachelors because they don't think they need a Masters. So while I have my good memories of being in Asia and my plans of pursuing a Masters in Graphic Design, these Negros are still stuck in Detroit thinking that they are going to be the next Jay-Z!

It is not just this one random story. Look around you. Look in any urban sector of America and observe the mentality of many of our young Black men.

Granted, there are many young Black men that are reaching for higher than just "hood dreams". But even some of the most nerdiest or preppiest young Black men even idolize rappers and athletes because they feel pressured by the majority mindset of our community.

I am so sick of Black American men being so influenced by hip-hop culture in any way. Pass a certain age, that stuff should be done and over. If I see one more 40+ Negro dressed like a dope boy, I am going to scream! If I hear one more 40+ professional and educated Black man talk about Jay-Z or Diddy like they are Kings of Egypt, I am going to rip my hair out. Too many Black American men under the age of 40 do not know how to separate rap from reality. If you like rap music, fine. But see it as cheap entertainment, not the definition of Black manhood!

Anonymous said...

So the fuckery of rap music is going to trickle over to the sports world. These yt's know they still got us slaving. It was determined that Blacks would only be able to prosper in the world of sports and entertainment. Anything other than those arenas, and it ain't happening.

Sadly, hip hop has turned into a corrupt, cesspool of negativity but still has the influence on urban communities that it had when it was 1st introduced to us.

As a 38 year old black man, I had to agree with what KenyaDoll said about not being able to separate "cheap entertainment" from reality. Grown men still seem to want to live life according to the lyrics of their favorite rappers.

They have the power to be such an impact of young black men and women, but all they want to do is tell their "story" of life in their hood and be paid handsomely for it. They don't want to be role rodels. It shows in their actions.

Ugh! Here goes KenyaDoll with the bull shit. I'm happy you have a degree in whatever you felt appropriate. good for you. But don't presume all people with Business degrees aren't savy enough to excel in their profession. I too, have traveled the world and you better believe it wasn't on charity fellowships.
You up in here writing novels and going on about what now???

LOL. You ain't lying. I remember couple of years ago there were persistent rumors that Drake was unhappy with the amount of money he was getting from Young Money. Most likely he was looking at the units he was moving, the fact that he writes his shit and that wasn't being reflected in his checks. These rumors were around for ages. Then last year Birdman was asked about it, and he saidf something along the lines of. Drake is fam, he's young money for life'. It was a radio interview, and there was something in the manner in which he said it. Made me think Drake doesn't really have a choice in the matter.

Oh and no can tell that Birdman didn't have Drake bent over calling him Daddy to get that record deal in the first place.

LOL, Honey I am a gay man & we damn sure know who's "like" that as you so poorly put it. Baby & Drake are both very homosexual men, you can tell by the way they carry themselves, also it's been known as fact in NO for over a decade that Baby likes young boys & that's probably why he is done with Drake because he is older now.

Drake is no longer having sex with baby & thus the fallout, it's a shame that Future ruined Drake & Manziel's relationship, those 2 were so cute together. I know Drizzy had to get in the game somehow & letting Baby fuck him whenever he wanted was probably worth it considering he can now break free & do his own thing.

Mike better watch out, cause by the end of the season....he will be owing Bird Man and his brother money and probably his first born. Ask Drake, Lil Wayne, Mannie Fresh, BG, Juvi, Nicki, and the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on...you get the point.

Anonymous said...

@ Bee Gee Lol, me too. @ Kenya Doll I agree with some of the things you said (too much to go through and state what) but, all people with business degrees aren't just sitting down wanting to do nothing with their lives. You can do a lot with a business degree if you can think outside the box. I know people with degrees other than business and they are just as lazy and ignorant than the people with the health care pathway type degrees. The bottom line is a degree doesn't guarantee you success no matter what the degree is in. I have a Masters degree but that doesn't make me better than someone who doesn't have a degree, it doesn't guarantee me success and it doesn't make me superior over someone who chooses another occupation. In the words of my old professor, "It's not who you know but it's who knows you." That's how the game goes most of time.

On topic: Diddy is next. It's crazy because none of these rappers have the credentials to represent/sign/negotiate the athletes contracts in anyway, it's just to show their face. Without a certified agent they can't do anything, so I know for a fact they have one for any type of signing to take place.

I wasn't saying that people with Business Degrees are doing nothing with their lives! Heck no!

The particular university that I went to, most of the Black people were from Detroit or Flint. Most of them had a "nigga mentality". So those particular ones at that particular university acted that way in the business college. BTW, I went to Michigan State University. Most of those Black folks there are a hot damn mess. The black males that I do know who are doing well with their business degrees are still on Facebook flaunting their new car, clothes and money that they purchased with their money.

I have yet to meet an African-American male of this generation who is educated, smart, accomplished and HUMBLE except for my older brother and one of my best friends.

You must not want your money, so give it to me. There is know one on Wall Street or Madison Avenue that will work with Dirty Bird. I'm sure he still keeps his money in a shoe box under the bed with his dress up panty's. Legit ppl will not give you Mike Evans any endorsements of any substantial amount working with this fool. Dirty Bird and Diddy are the two of the biggest black thieves out there. Alllll-right

@ Kenya Doll as far is Detroit is concern you might be on to something. My good friend is from there and oh boy he is lazy as hell. Don't get me wrong he is a very smart individual but sometimes he doesn't apply his-self and when he does I'm shocked as hell. I have met and know quite a few smart, educated, accomplished and humble men besides my brothers and ton of cousins LOL but, I know a lot of others who are the opposite as well. I see what you're saying, I misunderstood your point - It happens sometimes.

Stat's don't lie. 70% of the athletes that make up the NBA & NFL are black and 99% of the rappers are black, So Please explain how 11:30 AM is making an assumption of an obvious fact? Ask any young black male teen or pre-teen what they want to be when they grow up, I guarantee at least 50% will say an athlete or a rapper. I was a die hard NBA fan back in the 80s & 90s. Loved watching Barkley, Bird, Magic, Isiah Thomas et al but the players today have no heart, no class, and are very mediocre talent wise, with the exception of the LBJ's & Koby's..

Just as Jay Z's Roc Nation therefore Sports Agency is ruled by the Jewish masters in Live Nation. Jay Z is smart and street savvy, so he is a great asset to the group.
