Countess Vaughn's Lace-Front Horror

Actress Countess Vaughn speaks candidly about the thinning hair and scalp infections caused by wearing lace-front wigs...

Countess recently appeared on morning talk show The Doctors and revealed how wearing a lace front wig caused her to develop a severe scalp infection, which resulted in skin discoloration in the affected area, as well as dramatic hair loss.

During her interview Countess explained falling in love with lace-front wigs in 2004 and then developing an allergic reaction to the glue five years later.
"The red flag was the oozing from my ears, from my forehead, the whole nape around my head. The puss, that horrible smell, it was painful."
Countess says she was in denial that the lace-front wigs were the culprit and continued to wear them for six more months.
