Nearly 3 million viewers tuned in Saturday night to catch the premiere episode of the fourth and final season of The Boondocks on Adult Swim, making it the most watched primetime telecast on Adult Swim in five years.
Last month Adult Swim announced series creator Aaron McGrudger was no longer associated with the project [click here if you missed that].
The final season of The Boondocks features 20 episodes.
