RIP Meshach Taylor

Over the weekend beloved actor Meshach Taylor passed away…

Meschach Taylor, best known for his role as Anthony Bouvier on the 80s sitcom 'Designing Women' died Saturday night after 18-month battle with colon-rectal cancer that had metastasized to his liver. He was 67.

Earlier in the week Meshach's family sent out a call for prayers on Facebook
“It is with love and gratitude that we sorrowfully announce that our darling, amazingly brilliant and dynamic, Meshach, the incredible father, husband, son and friend has begun his grand transition. Our friends who know and love us, please offer your prayers for his peace and blazing light as he ascends to the heavens. Those who need to call the family please do. Those who desire to post memories, we are open and graciously accepting all gestures of peace. Love, the Taylor Family”

@8:25 you should see the pic they have on wikipedia. It's date from April of this year and he doesn't look that good. I guess it was probably the cancer.

May he rest in peace.

I really liked him so much on designing women. May he rest in peace. This site should not allow mean nasty comments from all the Anonymous morons that are idiots and mean. Colon cancer doesn't come from being homosexual. And all of you definitely don't have any intelligence at all.

Yes, that gay rectal comment you could have kept that to yourself. I mean I go in on that at times but this is not that time. Douche bag.

R in NYC SAYS:

My brother died from colon cancer and he was not gay. Too many ignorant mofos thinking it's cute to make fun of a horrible disease. Just like the people who use bi-polar as an insult and have no real knowledge of the illness.....
On behalf of my brother and others like Mesach.....they can go to hell with gasoline drawls on.

Every day people that never smoked die from lung cancer. To say someone died from colon cancer because they were gay is really messed up. Cancer is like a bullet....no names on it. Watch what you say. Tongue cancer is on the rise. SMH
