Ex Managers Sue New Edition

New Edition's reunion tour hits another snag as the group is slapped with a lawsuit by their former managers…

Earlier this month Bobby Brown had to leave the New Edition reunion tour for a while after conking out on stage in the middle of a show [click here if you missed that], and now their former managers are suing the boys for unpaid fees.

Benchmark Entertainment came on as managers for New Edition in 2012 and claim they set up the reunion tour, radio interviews, photo shoots and hired publicists for New Edition, only to be fired just before the tour kicked off last month.

Benchmark is seeking fees in excess of $500,000.

Whites support their own why not blacks? So what they're old doing the same moves for 30+ years now. whites still support mick jaggers old ass with the rolling stone, Queen, Kiss all those groups!

I HEARD THIS TOUR WAS DOING EXTREMELY WELL THE MOVIE BEST MAN HAS HELPED SELL THIS TOUR OUT BIG TIME said...

500,000 ive heard thus tour was doing extremely well, regardless of the crackish drama leaking out. Mainly about Bobby, all these guys are slim in shape except Bobby and Jay Zs or R Kelleys age ,

Johhny Gill is a crowd favorite and the Movie Best Man has them hot again and selling out. Get it together Bobby

New Edition, even after 30 years, still put on a GREAT show and their music remains a crown favorite. Saw them in 2012 and earlier this month at Chastain and they were incredible.

I heard Ralph Trasvant used to listen to Alex Jones and the like. He's aware of world events. I guess NE won't be having the big media machine behind them anytime soon.

It irks me when people say that an artist is "old" or "washed up." So only younger (20ish) people be entertainers? Look how many groups came after NE and can't even sell out a classroom.

These men are entertainers. They have always had a strong following. Fun lyrics and great dance moves. They're patterned after the Jackson 5 (style, rhythm, choreography, and outfits)

Artists tour to make money. And, they're not in little juke joints either. They may be older, but how many of your 45 year old cousins can still dance and sing for 1 hr 45 mins???

The tour is doing well... so of course others want to get paid.

New Edition/BBD/Johnny Gill haven't had new records out in a few years but yet and still they manage to draw crowds and sell out concerts with music that isn't centered around calling women b!tches and h@es and full of obscenities and they are referred to as being 'washed up'??? Just goes to show where standards lie nowadays...

LOve seeing NE perform-they put on a great show! Im a huge fan. Guess that explains why im less enthused by todays "hot" artists.

They'll be at the Oracle in Oakland on Saturday too. KBLX sold the tickets for $10.29, so I'll be in the house. Not even a fan lol

They came to my city and put on like young kids. With the exception of a coupe of bellies - well really just one (Johnny), it was a good show.

I think NE has held up pretty good..i would have never thought they would grow to be classy act they are now..when they first started they were very strange looking boys but with age they look good..love how dapper they always look..they carry themselves well

If they are old and washed up and we grew up listening to them...then we are old and washed up too!!! I saw them in concert in San Diego a few years and they were awesome. When the concert ended nobody got up to go. We chanted for more and hoped they came back out. I will go again. Come back to San Diego please minus bobby ....

@12:12 back in the day they were the group of all groups (do your research). there are plenty of people that flock to see them. same as any great back in the day group!

I remember seeing them at MSG when I was younger and I would pay to see them again. Support our artist who give us good music. I'm in my forties and so are they, I can't dance the way I use to and neither can they do we are right where we need to be.

They put on a great show. I saw them at Chastain Park too. Good music can last for generations. These young acts don't have nothing on N.E.

Until you see them in concert please stop talking about them. I just saw them in Chicago on Sunday big arena sold out and everyone was having a great time. A whole stadium of people there age, younger, and older singing Candy Girl......It was just lovely.

Plenty of people care about New Edition, myself being one. They put on a great show and yes they are older and still selling out wherever they go. I guess some of you young people think you won't get older one day. But you young dummies to busy setting yourselves on fire and choking each other for internet fame, you probably won't live long anyway! Even if you did, none of your favorite artist will be around in 30 years because new music sux! #NE4LIFE!
