Pharrell Headed for Another Marvin Gaye Lawsuit?

Earlier this week Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke lost their copyright infringement case against the Estate of Marvin Gaye and were ordered to cough up $7 million for using Gaye's 1977 hit Got to Give It Up as the basis of their 2013 hit single Blurred Lines [click here if you missed that].

Is Pharrell headed back to court over striking similarities between his smash hit single Happy and Marvin Gaye's Ain't That Peculair…?

Yesterday Marvin Gaye's family admitted on Entertainment Tonight that Happy and Ain't That Peculiar sound VERY much alike to them.

Marvin Gaye's daughter Nona Gaye tells ET's Nischell Turner,
"I'm not going to lie. I do think they sound alike."
While Gaye's ex-wife Janis was a little more blunt"
"I heard the mash-ups -- but I didn't really need to hear them. I know 'Ain't That Peculiar' and I've heard 'Happy.'"
Asked if they were headed back to court and Janis replied,
"We're just in the moment today and we're satisfied."
Listen to a mashup of Happy and Ain't That Peculiar' below and decide for yourself.
