During the season premier of Empire Lee Daniels slipped in a shady jab at Gospel singer Donnie McClurkin while Jamal Lyons met with the people from GLAAD.

Last night on Empire while Jamal and Becky were discussing plans for a benefit concert to support the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and transgender community Becky mentions Donnie McClurkin will be there while everyone bursts into giggles.
Donnie, who has been very open about his past struggles with homosexuality [click here if you missed that], responded to the shade with positivity.
Donnie's Tweets have since been deleted.
