Beyonce Banned in the UK?

Did Beyonce's Black Power stance at the Super Bowl backfire?

Insiders claim UK radio stations have banned Beyonce's  Super Bowl  performance and her racially charged new single 'Formation...'

From The Mirror
Media firm Global – who own Capital, Capital Xtra, Radio X and Heart – told staff first thing on Monday morning that Queen Bey’s Superbowl performance had to be removed from all the firm’s websites.
And her new song Formation – which she performed – did not feature on any of the channel’s playlists.
An email fired off to staff stated that Bey was not to be mentioned under any circumstances. A source said: “It was made absolutely clear Beyonce was not to be mentioned. No photos, no music videos, no Beyonce.
“Anything that had been published from the Super Bowl performance had to be removed.”
Meanwhile an Anti-Beyonce group have planned a protest rally outside NFL headquarters over her Super Bowl performance.

An Eventbrite page created for the movement reads,
Join us as we demonstrate on the block of the NFL Headquarters building.
Are you offended as an American that Beyoncé pulled her race-baiting stunt at the Superbowl?
Do you agree that it was a slap in the face to law enforcement?
Do you agree that the Black Panthers was/is a hate group which should not be glorified?
Come and let's stand together. Let's tell the NFL we don't want hate speech & racism at the Superbowl ever again!

That doesn't mean the people won't buy or listen to it.

Beyoncé fired her management team but clearly somebody is sending out all these "news" stories they're popping up faster than fake upvotes...

Anonymous said...

The BPP was not a hate group.

Anonymous said...

White people are always mad when they can't participate in black culture yet hate us when we call them out on their ignorance. The Black Panther Party was not a hate group and im quite sure the KKK killed wayyyy more people then they did. The most power form awareness is self awareness. Beyonce has realized who she is and that she should use that Super Bowl stage for a cause other than entertaining the white people that hate black people.

The UK like the rest of us will just use you tube,

Anonymous said...

Anytime yt folks are upset it is a good thing. If they banned her performance in the UK it is a good thing!. I'm not a fan of beyonce but I just might be after this. Remember my brothas and sistas, anytime white people are comfortable it is NOT a good thing! So I guess beyonce did something right.

Black pride is always mistaken as hate for other races. Probably because White pride is....Thry truly fear us uniting.

Anonymous said...

This almost brought tears to my eyes. Not sure if it's my hormones or what. But how fucking dare they do this? And then to call The Black Panthers a hate group. Are they out of their crakkka minds? I now see why the black community is in the states it's in. Anything to do with us uniting and uplifting each other is seen as a threat to them. They don't want to feel excluded or like they're not apart of anything to do with us.

This has made me so angry. What part of what her dancers wore say "anti police"? Beyonce wasn't on stage screaming Fuck the police. I fucking HATE White people for this. I bet if she was doing a movement that was against black people, like Stacey sellout Dash, they'd be all for it though. Fuck white people and their racist ass feelings.

Say it loud..... I'M BLACK AND I'M PROUD! #Powertothepeople

Dear YT people: the black stallions were bound to get out the barn!! How long did you think you could keep the stallions couped up? Police brutality, mass murders of school kids! How Fu$kin long?!

HELLO, IT'S ME said...

but when she's selling sex, they are all over her . . .

Eunice Chantilly said...

I wouldn't call that a backfire. Pissing the devil off is never a bad thing.

Anonymous said...

^^^^^EXACTLY it was perfectly fine when she was selling sex. Her blonde hair, skimpy outfits of onesies, tights and high heels, raunchy lyrics, gyrating choreography hasn't change one iota and she was good enough then but the minute she mentions she's black and proud there's an issue. SMDH!

Anonymous said...

When she take off that dry ass blond wig, she might be taken seriously.

Until then, she should be scared for her safety.

Anonymous said...

White entertainers that get Asian weave, lip injections, butt injections, tans etc... are taken serious though!

Anonymous said...

LMAO... This stunt is backfiring big time. She getting her N**ga wake up call real quick. Smh

Anonymous said...

When our stars reach a certain level of success the white media without fail always turns on them and attacks them. Usually they use fabricated lies and manufactured scandals. But now they're not even putting up an effort so they want to boycott because she said she was black and proud? They keep saying it was an attack on the police, but I'm like WHERE?!... It's so funny that white people cry about free speech and how political correctness is killing this country yet any time a black person practices their free speech on anything white people dont agree on all of a sudden they want to ban you and boycott you and essentially shut you up. I bet all the white people mad at her for speaking her mind with her pro black message are the same ones who love and support Trump and all of his outlandish and racist comments. The hypocrisy is too much to take some times.

Anonymous said...

I haven't bought a Beyoncé album since Bday but now with the way white folks are showing their racist asses trying to shut her down and boycott her simply because she said she was black and proud, I might have to actually support her this time around to send a message that HELL NO you will not shut us up just because YOU don't like the message.

Anonymous said...

People just don't take her seriously. I don't remember Fishnet...black panty hose...big legs...y'all know the rest, clad panther females featuring their best stomp routine! Also, I would have taken her more seriously had she wore an Afro like the rest of her crew instead of a long flowing blonde wig which deconstructed everything she was supposed to be honoring. But in Beyonce classic fashion, she's talking about y'all, not her! Lol

Tippie Toes said...

I honestly do not know why Beyonce is being praised for this video or song. It's very dumbed down and doesn't represent what the REAL BLACK PANTHERS MOVEMENT WAS ABOUT! She has to go back to her roots at this point because every other artist is doing the same thing. Now they will be PRO-BLACK until that doesn't work. Anyone who thinks Beyonce is on a movement for blacks need to wake the hell up! Beyonce is for SELF and that of those who worship her. America has been DUMBED DOWN!

Anonymous said...

laughing my azz off at the folks who talking like Beyoncé the new Malcom X...... news flash hate crimes against blacks been happening and it wasn't until she decided to release an album that all of a sudden she an activist - man y'all so blind you're like sheep without a shepherd... just bleating about waiting to be devoured by wolves...

Anonymous said...

Stop buying into this blonde wig wearing one's gimmicks. Please read books instead of having this mediocre celebrity educate you. You buying tour tickets is all that's in her mind.

Anonymous said...

I can't believe some of you can't see through this process ploy. This is nothing more than Beyond stupid trying to create a US against them scenario just so we can support her. I'm not falling for it. She and her husband didn't want to claim us when they were up so I'm not going to claim them on the way down. Bye Wig!

Anonymous said...

I wish black people would get it together! Regardless of how you feel about Beyonce, regardless if you like her music or not, the bottom line is she took a huge risk performing that song. We all know white America doesn't take kindly to pro-black messages. I APPLAUD her courage for doing so. She didn't need to stir up controversy to revive her career as some have implied. She has enough to chill for the rest of her life and certainly if she doesn't her husband does. It's like people want to dissect the way in which she delivered the message (too sexual, raunchy, she wore a blonde weave) Who gives a f#/k!!! The point is she delivered the message. And she did it in a way that those who REALLY needed to hear it (our people in the projects, in the streets and people all over the world) heard it loud and clear! She basically said I'm black and damn proud of it! People may be shaking their asses to the message and trying to imitate her dance moves but their simultaneously singing "I love my baby hair, baby hair and afros. I love my Negro nose with Jackson 5 nostrils"! My God did this message need to be delivered!!! And despite what you have to say about her and how much more she could be doing, just realize there are no other artists with her reach and fan base that are saying it. Give this woman credit where it's due. Yes some may wish she didn't have a weave or wish it wasn't blonde but does that mean what shes saying is any less authentic? No $ We ALL as black people have struggled with self pride. I remember having colored contacts in junior high. If it took her longer to get to this point of self pride I dont bash her for that. Im just glad she has it now and wants to help others to feel it. Some of our people are 80 years old and still suffer from swlf hate. Its a process because everything we ae taught tells us otherwise. So again I support her in what she tried to do. I just hope she and Jay are prepared for the backlash because we already know there will be one. If she didn't do anything impact full as some people are suggesting then why are white people protesting the NFL for letting her perform? Again, they are uncomfortable with us having self confidence the way that they do. Don't fall into the typical crab in a barrell attitude and cosign what these white people are saying. If you thought it could have been better, cool. But like I said applaud the spirit of what she tried to do. Seriously, I liked her as an artist but now I respect her even more as a person and appreciate the sense of pride she's made black people in particular black women feel just from this performance/video release when all of the world tells us we aren't beautiful or worth anything. I know all my family watched it and loved it. Just hearing my teen cousins say theyvery never seen a performance with all brown beautiful women with natural hair dancing let's me know she accomplished something. For this I applaud her!

Anonymous said...

First of all Beyoncé isn't being praised nor is she educating anyone but the fact remains as a successful pop star with her platform it's very risky to speak on any serious issues especially race. As you can see from the backlash she's recieving when she didn't even really say or do anything controversial. People are more upset that she's being targeted and boycotted really for no reason other than the fact that she made a pro black song which is bullshit.

Anonymous said...

Cool your jets - this is Live Nation PR and all of you are buying into it.

Anonymous said...

Beyonce is not stupid. She knew that this was going to cause controversy. She used the Superbowl halftime show as her platform to promote her new music, her tour and to get talked about. She got just want she wanted, ATTENTION. She could care less about Black Lives Matter or the Flint Water crises. This is nothing but free publicity to promote nothing else but BEYONCE.

Anonymous said...

Funny Beyonce's own husbands life didn't matter when Solange was kicking the crap out of her huzzzband's nuts right in front of her face! #blacklivesmatterexceptjays.....lol

It is the same oh same oh white America trying to keep Black people in their place. Not much was said if anything when Kid Rock, and others perform on stage with the confederate flag showing in the background and kid rock still to this day refuses to stop displaying the flag. When Malcolm X stated by any means necessary white America saw it as a threat but now you hear it being referenced all the time that same statement he made by any means necessary is being said and used by white America (Oregon);is this not institutional racism.
When Peyton Manning’s team lost to the New Orleans Saints in 2010 he stormed off the field without shaking the opposing quarter backs hand however when Cam Newton for good reasons walks out of the press room because they are interviewing the Denver Broncos next door which has never been done before and he can hear what is being said he is sore loser. Just call it what it is systemic racism people of color are more likely to be chastised for doing the same thing as whites do and treated different. So go ahead UK and continue your so call boycott against Beyoncé I am sure she knew what the ramification would be that is why she did it to make a point to show society how some Caucasians people would react. Beyoncé is doing it her way by any means necessary.

Anonymous said...

@3:34 - Preach! From jump I expected majority of blacks to not support each other but white people are a trip.

@3:45 - Unless you keep it mute, be a yes man, make them money and dance for them on snap; whites don't take ANY blacks serious.

The truth is:If she had worn jeans, a turtleneck and cardigan, they wouldn't have taken her serious and still would've had an issue with her "message". The fact that Malcolm X preached about equality and being black and proud but yet had a conk "perm" on his hair instead of his on black textured, natural hair and people are pointing out Beyonce doesn't wear hers; should tell people that the issue is with Beyonce not her look period!

Anonymous said...

I don't give a damn if her intentions were contrived, she didn't commit a crime. I'm not buying concert tickets or cds but I'll support her over white people, all day long.

Anonymous said...

This whole situation is retarded.

For one, I sympathize with her on behalf of the fact that whites are racist and they fear solidarity among Blacks.

But this is all fake Black nationalism but like her fake feminism. This is pure comedy and the fact that people are taking this shit seriously, goes to show that Beyonce has once again succeeding at what she does best: LYING AND FOOLING THE DUMB MASSES INTO GIVING HER MONEY, ESPECIALLY GULLIBLE BLACK PEOPLE.

Black people idolize Beyonce like they worship white Jesus. I can't believe in 2016, Black folks still support an image of a white Jesus. Black people are so easily fooled, it's hilarious. Then want to call conscious Black people with their third eye open "angry", "Satanic" or "heathens".

Keep drinking he red kool-aid, y'all.

Beyonce has once again succeeded*

Great points 4:15&4:06 but Beyonce isn't the horse to back in this race. Trust me when I tell you nothing the Carters do or have done is for OUR benefit. Those two have made millions by exploiting their own people which makes them 10x's worse than any whites in my book.

Anonymous said...

@4:06

You wrote all of that and for what?

You probably never wrote that much in school.

Anonymous said...

People will still be able to hear her music and see her images. Somebody is underestimating the power of the Internet, social media, and fandemonium. There is usually a work-around when it comes to digital content.

Also, what they won't tell us that don't already know or haven't done any research is that the BPP was not made up of just Black people. Read up on Richard Aoki, Japanese, who, allegedly, infiltrated the organization as a government snitch and supposedly later in life committed suicide. There were other non-Blacks in the party as well and of course some Black folks that sold out. There's at least one coon in every bunch. Can't trust no damn body.

Beyonce will never leave the plantation she built her career on. Notice she's the only one wearing a long blonde wig! This is to remind you negros, she's not like you, but will always put in a good word for you when it benefits her!

@4:30- get your gullible head out of the clouds not ONE person in this post said she didn't have a hidden agenda. I'm going to extend my font and agree with you, "she's fake and her reasoning for speaking out on flint and BLM are self serving".

However; it's not fake that "WHITE PEOPLE ARE PISSED AT HER VIDEO AND SUPER BOWL PERFORMANCE DUE TO HER SAYING SHE'S BLACK AND PROUD, having backup dancers dress like BP and for acknowledging BLM publicly. Those are facts! Beyonce's video and performance at the Superbowl didn't make me want to now support her. White racists have, Fuck them!

Anonymous said...

I refuse to play into this madness. This woman has been around so long that she is just as calculating, manipulative as she is predictable. The song lyrics alone were not congruent to the video she made for it or this half time show everyone seems to be going bananas about. This was not Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On". This was not Curtis Mayfield's, "People Get Ready". This was not James Brown's, "Say It Loud...I'm Black and I'm Proud". This was not Sam Cooke's, "A Change is Gonna Come. This was not, Donny Hathaway's, "Someday We Shall All Be Free". This was not anything parallel or mimicking to any of Stevie Wonder's music that spoke to all about whatever was going on at the times. No, no, no, no, NO! This was about how she slays, slays, slays, etc. This was about her getting fuked good then taking her man to Red Lobster, for a treat. This was about...as usual... all about her and her money and the sheeple being under her slaying spell.. All that other shit she did was nothing but a big distraction.

Everyone has entered the apple pie making contest. The pies are all of the judging table and here comes Beyonce entering her Lemon meringue pie in the contest. The crowd goes wild and starts bowing down, and worshipping Bey and her misplaced pie. She wins the pie contest because she told everyone it was an home made apple pie that she made, and even tho everyone had seen it for themselves and knew it was Lemon they disregarded the truth and said it was Bey had made the best home made apple pie ever.

Her career was already fading so don't be surprised if her next album flops harder than Anti.

I guess I missed something or I'm not SIMPLE enough to see the power of beyonce, because I thought the superbowl performance was just another standard booty popping beyonce in skimpy clothing performance, so what she said some ish about black pride, it wasn't powerful enough to move me, it damn sure didn't speak volumes like it would had it been India Arie or Angie Style. Now let true artist with black pride speak positive about black features and speak on injustice and no one calls them powerful or moving, no one gets mad, beyonce latina fake self gives a half ass sloppy delivery in a trash song and folks take it to the heart....nah! I'm not simple enough to fall for that mess so as far as I'm concerned beyonce didn't do or say sh*t that was serious enough to open eyes and get people mad. But I guess when a beyonce or stacy dash speaks out it matters more than an Angie Stone or India Arie. Whatever with this weird world, I bigger problems, like finding a new CHEAP place to eat lunch since Taco Cabana going up in price and Chipotle not washing their poop hands. Issues WAY bigger than beyonce

As a matter of fact the video is dope but the lyrics could have been better.

------What the video was dope, please it was just like every other smoke and mirror video with old disaster footage.

& the lyrics sound like they came right out of J's mouth like he was dreaming about wearing a wig and sniffing coke off of some rich white dude pee pee that just called him "broke", etc...

Ya'll don't notice Bey is a rapper now?

J is not fooling me and the red lobster crap that was planned just like the adidas in the video.

Mean while I'm just waiting to see how Jeb Bush is going to become president, the lizards go hard they could:
1. drop a bomb,
2. earthquake the west cost ocean
3. fake alien invasion -(not to say that aliens don't exist) just that they will be using technology the gov been harboring for decades

Like true haters, of course some of y'all can't give credit to Beyonce when she does something right. She supports a long list of charities and causes right along with her former band mates, mother, husband, and sister. Her song has absolutely nothing to do with the video, yet she used her platform to once again, let folks know she is fully aware of what's going on, and supports our people.

Click on any article about her performance and you will surely see a bunch of comments from white folks trashing her, and y'all boy Bruno who was referred to as a thug in chains. You don't have to like the woman, but the hate is so unnecessary.

8:53 its not hate if you pointing out facts - her performance was not thought provoking she put on a panty and shook her azz... are you seriously suggesting we should commend her for this bullchit - this is what's wrong with black people we don't seem to be able to dissect chit its all in or all out you can't look at something and see the many facets and angels all you see is one dimension.... so if we say Beyoncé is about her pockets you hear we hate her - the one has nothing to do with the other - if you want to follow her and she's your role model then more power to you but please do not tell those of us who choose to use our brain and question chit that we have no right to and that in doing so we're downgrading our own people ... because that simply isn't true.

I want Beyonce to perform a Formation remix at the Grammys with Jay AND Big Freeda and booty bounce alllllll over the muthafuckin' stage. White people would really lose their shit after that.

1:27, so you condemned Prince and his butt cheek pants? Or Michael constantly grabbing his groin area? What about Diana, Tina, Donna, Rihanna, Josephine, Dorothy and others? Should we have condemned them too for provocative clothes, and/or dance moves?

Why come for Beyonce when others before her, and after do the same stuff? And what celeb (or any person for the matter) isn't about their coins? This woman dropped a song/video and tour announcement during Mardi Gras and super bowl weekend, while showing concern about some issues, and having some pride.

Hell, I'm not buying concert tickets, but her new team is already off to a good start. Beyonce is multitasking imo.

This right here is the damn problem. This is all you dumbed down beyhive idiot addicts care about. And for the record...Yt people will not care if these people took the stage naked and acting a fool. Now, I don't know how TF U... in the year 2016, didn't get this ancient old memo, but this is exactly what they expect from us. Just look at how they did Ms. Sarah Baartman? Judging from your ignorant comment, I'm guessing you would be the foolish Negro in the background screaming..."Get it, Sarah! Yassss, bitch...Werk it, Gurl!" SMDH. Hell, you might even pump your fist in the air while shouting, "Black Power!" Funny thing is you'll never catch a member of this planet outside of black Americans (not all, but many) making a comment like yours. ****sigh****
