Damon Wayans Headed Back to TV

Comedian Damon Wayans headed back to TV in a Lethal Weapon reboot...

Fox execs announced on Friday that the Lethal Weapon pilot starring Damon Wayans as Roger Murtaugh had been picked up for series.

The role of Martin Riggs has not been cast.

Danny Glover and Mel Gibson starred in the original film version.

Bad idea for a bunch of reasons. First, Damon Wayans can't really act. Second, Roger Murtaugh's character is a serious character, and Damon Wayans definitely can't play serious. Third, they need to leave this shit alone and come up with an original idea for a change.

I know, when I was first reading through this I was thinking, "oh great they're going to make a parody out of it?"

They may as well go all out and cast Shia LeBoeuf as Riggs, smdh.

***but on second thought, people grow. i.e Jamie Foxx in Ray***

This is a bad idea because Damon doesnt compare to Danny Glover. Unless they don't follow the format of Lethal Weapon at all, in which case they should just come up with another show.

I really thought Damon was gonna be the next big thing in comedy.
I remember Eddie Murphy gave Damon a shout out on the original Arsenio Hall show and this was pre- In Living Color.

He has gone from edgy to father figure in his roles.
