Rihanna Makes It to No.1

Despite Billboard's refusal to include free downloads from Samsung [click here if you missed that], Rihanna still makes it to no.1...

The official sales numbers counted by Billboard are 125k units sold.

Good for her. I'm rooting for Rihanna just because I want to see the Beyhive implode over her success vs their Queen.

No it is not. Those sales numbers are wacked. ADELE sold 3 million in a week. Taylor sold almost 2 millions copies in one week.
Rihanna should have called this album D.O.A. aka dead on arrival.

This will NOT happen to Beyonce.

That work song is the truth, Rihanna is QUEEN cause even conniving Beyoncé has to fire her entire management and steal from Rihanna, Rihanna faces opposition, especially from her # 1 Hater, BeYawnce but STILL COMES OUT ON TOP.

Did you all forget that she gave her album for free? She is winning with the Samsung deal. How your pockets look...HATERS!

I wouldn't say Rihanna was winning with the Samsung deal. Someone broke it down last week and it looks like Roc Nation won and Samsung won but if you look closely you'll see it wasn't really a win for Rihanna financially.
There are too many hands in her pockets for her to ever be successful without the help smoke and mirrors. I think that's why I'm rooting for Rihanna because she really is the underdog here.

I listened to Rihanna's album last night, expecting the worst and it's actually not bad. I think people are accustomed to the "Rude Boy", "What's My Name" and "Pour It Up" Rihanna that is more upbeat and has a club vibe. This albums tone is way more slow and low-key. You definitely have to be in a certain "mood" to listen to it and like it, in my opinion. If you're trying to turn up, don't listen to it. But if it's late night and you're missing your boo (or with your boo), it's the perfect album.

"Sex With Me", "Love on the Brain", "Higher" and "Yea, I Said It" top faves!!

Why can't they both be successful Black people are the only race divided that talks shit about hating on each other like Mike Epps versus Kevin Hart and so on and so on. If a white person does not like another white person you do not hear or read comments on blogs referencing Taylor Swifts name trying to out shine Adele. Let the light shine on everyone a bright shine.

@ 11:21
That's a lie: Katy Perry can't stand Taylor Swift according to the yt blogs. Pink doesn't like Jessica SIMPSON. Gwynedd Paltrows stole the script for Shakespeare In Love from Wimona Ryder and won an Oscar. Joan Rivers said Jennifer Lawrence fucked around to get her Oscar. Kelly Osborne and that Guliana Rancid hated each other on FASHION Police. Rosie O'Donnell HATED everyone on the View

Yodeling and screeching like a goat, good luck w/that one.

she truly cannot sing-take off the synthesizers and beats and you got a MESS and a HUGE forehead w/a long ass sunken in face.

Nobody else dropped an album of course it went number one. Like Chrissy said Rihanna's not profiting off this, Roc Nation/Tidal is and i think that will be changing in the very near future.

It's a known fact that even in 2016, many blks whether aware or unaware, are operating daily using a 'slave's mentality'. So many generations where this was taught and passed down. Where as the slave master altered our thoughts about life, causing jealousy, colorism, brother against brother, division, unnecessary unhealthy competition against one another, etc...Basically, a self hate program instilled in us to hate ourselves and destroy ourselves, without knowing or being aware that we are still doing Master's bidding, even when he isn't around to stomp us down himself. He's taught us how to do it. -QUESTIONS!-

Why is it that with white people in the entertainment business and otherwise...they salute, congratulate, show loyalty and support to many many of their 'kind'(AT THE SAME DAMN TIME) no matter who outsold who or is more famous than the other of their 'kind'...AT THE SAME DAMN TIME! Meaning that they allow all of their people to shine and be great...AT THE SAME TIME, without all the hating, bragging and stupid competition knowing damn well each one of their people bring something different to the table?????????????

But with our people it seems to always boils down to who has the most bragging rights, material possessions, money in the bank, dance better, sing better, best hair, best make-up, most TV appearances, awards, blah, blah blah...All the BS that has hardly anything to do with the actual art that person brings to the table, whether it's your cup of tea or not. What's someone's trash is another person's treasure. White people already understand this, but my people would rather place one representation of us on a pedestal and disown and kill the rest of the black talents out there. Funny thing is... If we say we are a proud people and have love for our own, then why do we do this kind of crap to each other? From the early 90's, 80's, 70's and below, blacks stood side by side and allowed the world to see just how intelligent, talented and versatile we are as a whole. When smoke and mirrors were frowned upon and easily spotted and called out. It's because of this that others would try so hard to mimic us. They say, imitation is the highest form of flattery. In my mind if I had a pedestal to put a person on, it wouldn't be enough room because I want to see Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, Chrisette Michelle, Beyonce, Rihanna, Aretha Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Kelly Rowland, MC Lyte, Fantasia, Janelle Monet, Mary Mary, MJBlidge, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Patti Labelle, and many others up front and representing ME and mines. They are all different and are (for the most part) successful in there own right. And since I don't have a heaven or hell to put them in, I'm just gonna do like the white folks and congratulate them, respect their hustle, support them, and give them all shine and a big shout out.

This number one will cause the beyhive to lose their minds, and jump from the tallest building they can find.

People always want to talk about Adele and Taylor when Rihanna does something that has people talking. What about the other fifty Million who hasn't done as well as Rihanna has done. Remember Adele wiped, and mopped the floor with all the Musicians Including the Legends, and that includes that shake dancer.

This is Beyonce chance to do what she has wanted to do for the last ten years, and that is to compete with Rihanna, tell that stripperv to bring it on.

Girl you hang in there because Beyonce is coming for you, and your fans, with all she have got, she hates you being in the Limelight.

Anonymous said...

Keep your focus and watch your back rihanna.

Anonymous said...

It's a good thing you have got the Samsung Sponsorship deal in your pocket, because otherwise Beyonce would try her best to take it away from you, if her a could.
But she will still try to pop her behind harder and longer then she ever has to try to keep her old worn out b00ty in the spotlight.

Keep on moving straight ahead Rihanna.

Stupid biatches always gotta compare either Rihanna to Beyonce or Nicki Minaj...they whyte folks don't sit over there doing that schit; enough for everyone. But not Blacks. Only 3 big female Blacks and you dumb mofos gotta pit one against another. How predictable....no wonder none of you shine.
