I was thinking the same thing. He can barely get around. Why is he doing this? I hope he's not broke.

Billy was one of those unsung black actors who never got the shine he deserves. He has a beautiful sexy voice and had beautiful skin when he was younger.

You can say he was the Idris Elba in his day but the opportunities weren't there for him :-(

Billy Dee was like the Idris Elba in his day but without the opportunities.
He got shine with his beautiful voice and deep eyes from time to time ( Brian's Song,Star wars )but no follow up :-(

Considering there were only a few quality actors back then, he was more like the Denzel of his day except he did a lot of made-for-TV movies in between major studio productions plus his long-running beer commercials and he modeled. He had way more universal appeal than Idris.

Billy Dee was and still is the hallmark of black male elegance. He laid the groundwork for so many of our black leading men. Check out his catalog, from Mahogany to Bingo Long to yes, Star Wars. Glad to see him still in it.
