Michael Jackson Estate Sells Stake in Sony


Back in 1985 the King of Pop Michael Jackson pulled the ultimate power move by purchasing the ATV catalogue for $41.5 million, later merging it with Sony, giving him ownership to many hit songs including some by The Beatles, ruining his friendship with Paul McCartney.

According to reports The Estate of Michael Jackson just sold his stake in Sony for $750 million.

Sony will now have sole ownership of songs by The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Eminem, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift and many others.

The proceeds will benefit Michael Jackson's mother Katherine and his three children Prince, Paris and Blanket.
