Ne-Yo Loses Mutli Million Dollar Lawsuit

Last month news leaked that Ne-Yo was suing his former business manager for transferring millions of dollars out of his bank accounts, applying for loans without his knowledge and for making business investments without Ne-Yo's consent [click here if you missed that].

Your mans just came up short...

According to The Jasimine Brand  a judge ruled that Ne-Yo did not submit any evidence to support his claims therefore the case was thrown out.

In his counter argument the manager insisted Ne-Yo gave him authority over his accounts and was fully aware of every transaction.

Ne-Yo, who was seeking $8 million in damages, is also suing Citibank for allowing the former manager to access his accounts.

The Citibank case is still pending.

Everything has to be in writing! Everything!

he's an idiot maybe if he took his big giant head out of his azzhole he'd understand that when you give somebody access to manage your money on your behalf its not the banks fault if your dumb azz neglected to inform them you no longer want the individual to have that authority - big dummy....

Thank you 11:37am - Everything has to be in writing with a timestamp these days. You Business Manager should never have final approval over transactions. Um, remember when Oprah said she see's daily statements and signs every check? Your Portfolio Manager should have been checking, too. (Or do like Diddy and have people who check the people who check the people/Triple oversight.)

^^Your business manager. My bad

Isn’t this why Oprah checks daily statements? And Diddy allegedly has a layer of people who don’t work together/know each other checking on his accounts and signs all his financial documents himself? Don’t trust ANYONE with your money, unless they’re a trusted advisor. Even then, check your accounts yourself for good measure.

That's a must read for anyone going into the Entertainment business 12:53pm. Truly informative (I borrowed it years ago when I was thinking of managing gospel acts. I realized I don't have the business acumen to do it, and moved on.)

I was thinking field greens, baby corn and beets with a little salmon sashimi on the side. It's kind of warm here this week and I need the Omega-3s anyway.
