Tyler Perry Denies Oprah Discord Rumors

Last week there were rumors Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey's friendship was on the rocks after Tyler took offense to criticism of his programing block on the OWN network [click here if you missed that].

Tyler insists none of it is true...

Tyler Perry tells Entertainment Tonight
"It's completely false. Nothing is accurate in the article except for my and Oprah's names."
Ok, but one at least thing in the article WAS true: Tyler Perry was conspicuously absent from Oprah's annual vacation this year unlike in years past.

Instead of Tyler this year Oprah hosted director Ava DuVernay and actor David Oyelowo along with Gayle King and Stedman Graham for a week long trip to Fiji.

He does have a new child and just b/c you usually travel with someone doesn't mean something is wrong if you don't. Stop reaching and being messy RWS.

On a business note, they really NEED to have that discussion about hiring some experienced writers because I don't know how much longer Tyler is going to be able to hold on..His ratings are declining fast....

These two queens should do a reality show.

Where does it say travel buddies must always travel together? Tyler probably was working on "The Passion" and just couldn't go. On another note, imo, Fiji is no place for a baby we haven't heard about since he was born.

HE wants to make sure he keeps his shows on OWN...lol...bc he did throw shade last week about his 800th show...just because its the 800th show...does not mean the show is GOOD!

Those shows are horrible!!!!! I have tried and tried to watch them only because family and friends are convinced they are great, he is giving people jobs, etc. Just because he have hired some black people don't make it great nor him. If his shows were on major networks ABC, CBS, and NBC they would be cancelled!!! He needs to hire some writers and better actors. We get it, they are your shows, but pass some duties to some other people.

The Haves and Haves Not is Tyler's best show. For Better or For Worse is good but could be much better. The same plot dragging on for so long without the Villain getting its dew is so tired. House of Pain was terrible and Rudy got played real bad in that show. And the large of amount of uppity Light skin blacks on all his shows just reminds me that Colorism is still alive and well. Okay I said. Come and get me now.
