Afrika Bambaataa Releases a Statment

This month Bronx resident Ronald Savage came forward with shocking claims that he had been molested by Hip Hip pioneer Afrika Bambaata [click here if you missed that].

Bambaataa releases a statement denying the allegations...

Afrika Bambaataa tells Rolling Stone
"I, Afrika Bambaataa, want to take this opportunity at the advice of my legal counsel to personally deny any and all allegations of any type of sexual molestation of anyone."
"These allegations are baseless and are a cowardly attempt to tarnish my reputation and legacy in hip-hop at this time. This negligent attack on my character will not stop me from continuing my battle and standing up against the violence in our communities, the violence in the nation and the violence worldwide."

I could see him saying at the advice of my counsel I am NOT speaking on it but dude you need your lawyer to tell you to deny something you claim nevuh happened - something fishy around here and since you seem to like men we can assume it's not your penis

Why is it a "cowardly attempt"? I would call it brave to come out and accuse another man of molesting you when you were a teen. Anywho, who cares.

The truth still shines through his bull because innocent people are fearless in defending themselves against false allegations, but a guilty person says they deny allegations at the advice of an attorney. Freudian slip. Also, no one has a conspiracy against him because most folks don't even remember him or know about the "movement." Without his shades on he looks off. The guys speaking out are straight men with nothing to gain. I believe them

It's not looking good for Bambaataa.

There is a recording of a sit down with Bambaataa payoff offer which the alleged victim refused.

Two high-ranking Zulu Nation officials, meanwhile, recently called Savage several times and said they would help him get a sitdown with Bambaataa so he could confront his alleged abuser. And they vowed to help him get compensation for the alleged abuse.

“Name your price,” one says on recordings of the conversations reviewed by The News. “We can take care of this today. Cash money.”

Both men asked Savage to stop speaking to the media about the abuse allegations, although it is not clear that they are trying to buy his silence.

“I’m not talking about no $5,000,” the man says. “I’m talking about, let’s get a number, let’s say $50,000.”

“One hundred thousand!” Savage fires back, although he repeatedly adds during the conversations that he doesn’t want Bambaataa’s money.

Savage says the first sex assault took place at Bambaataa’s apartment, where Savage sought refuge after cutting school. Bambaataa fondled himself and Savage that day, then invited another man to join in, Savage says. During the second incident, Bambaataa allegedly ordered Savage to perform oral sex on an older Zulu Nation member.

“I hated myself,” Savage says. “I don’t even know why I did that. I don’t even know how he got me to do that. It was like I was hypnotized.”

@12:32 Cosign. if his lawyers let him release that statement, then he needs new lawyers....

Sidenote: We ALL know the Zulu Nation barely has $1500, so where are they getting all of this alleged payoff cash? That and as someone said a "Freudian Slip" with his statement (which I had to read three times to makes sure I was comprehending correctly.)

No one is trying to marginalize hip-hop, Bamabatta. They're just holding YOU accountable. (As we see with Denny Hastert, dirtiness often goes all the way to the top.)

Y'all, peep his scarf...I think we know where this ALL stems from...

Sometimes people make things up for attention, but the DETAIL that Savage gave was so DESCRIPTIVE. Most men will NEVER admit that something like this happened..this is so sad. You look up to somebody as a role model & all they want from you is your young tight booty, & a blow job.. I feel bad for this guy because most pedophiles move along to their next victim quickly, & discard them, Eddie Long style once they get a little older.

Now watch Bambuttfunk camp try to release dirt on both of these guys to mess up their credibility. The other guy already told us he's been to jail numerous times, so he beat them to the punch..

Bumbatta needed legal counsel to tell him to deny the allegations! People can't think or speak for themselves anymore? You know what his a** is guilty!

My thing is this - why not only deny the allegations but threaten to sue for slander if what these people are saying is not true???

^^^Because he can't; They can ask him ANYTHING in a deposition (even if he molested other boys) and if he lies he'd be perjuring himself.

He may not do time for the alleged sexual crimes, but perjury in a civil deposition on a current case can send you to jail. Basically, he's screwed either way and he knows it.
