BET Purchases Soul Train

BET acquires the Soul Train brand...

From Yahoo News
Assets acquired include one of the largest libraries of African-American, music-oriented content in the world, including over 1,100 television episodes and 40 television specials, the company said.
Owning Soul Train's intellectual property will allow BET to further build on the success of the Soul Train Awards, which BET re-launched in 2009, and strengthens the network's commitment to original content.
Richard Gay, BET's executive vice president of strategy and operations, pointed to a Broadway play and a concert tour as examples of Soul Train-related opportunities ahead.
BET is a division on Viacom.

Welp there goes Soul Train anyways, just let the show stay great and off the air. It won't be the same no way, too much skin on tv anyways we see on VH1.

Good this means they'll start airing old episodes of the show. I love it.

Black people stay losing to whites all the time. If Don Cornelius wasn't so busy wifing up these white bitches, he would have never lost Soul Train to begin with. The little bit we have accomplished in this country is slowly being dismantled because we need white peoples apporval on everything we do. We need to stop socializing and marrying these parasites of the earth.

They are the only people on this palnet that destroys everything they touch.

If black is in the name, it must be black owned, right? The network was founded by an African American, Robert Johnson, in the ’80s, but in 2003, BET was sold to Viacom, which also owns MTV and VH1.
