Beyoncé Suing The Feyoncé Company

Pop star Beyoncé suing Texas based online bridal accessory shop for copyright infringement...

According to reports Beyonce is demanding all proceeds plus damages from Feyoncé shop.com over their bridal T-shirts and coffee mugs emblazoned with the word Feyoncé and the phrase "He liked it so he put a ring on it," a clear reference to the hook on her 2008 smash hit 'Single Ladies.'

Beyoncé is accusing Feyoncé of illegally profiting off her trademark and likeness.

Feyoncéshop.com is still selling merchandise on their website.

Good; because if the show were on the other foot they'd have sued her

You don't have the right to make a profit off of someone else's image or likeness (including persona or nicknames) with their express permission. Get em, Beyonce! (Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift have sued for the same reasons.)

Bitch probably needs the money. Instead of being honored this whore is mad she didn't think of it first. Evil, greedy cunt need to pay pepsi and have her husband take care of his kids instead of focusing on how other people trying to make ends meet. Selfish long necked weave wearing bitch.

@12:51 LMAO

OT: I have no problem with this. You can't profit off someone else. It is interesting though that she's even bothering suing. Money issues?....

Could this possibly be a business ploy from this camp? Website still active, and I am sure future brides are flooding business.

Beyonce is always stealing from others
But want no one to steal from her

Beyonce dislike aside/Who cares if she needs money, they have no right to use her "persona." (Though now she knows what it feels like to have someone allegedly steal her intellectual property. Doesn't feel too good, huh?)

But she has stolen from many of artists and black artists but yet to compensate them or at least give them credit. Not only that has Chanel sued any of these instagram boutiques or stores because i always see the instagram boutiques and stores using the Chanel logo but i never heard of them suing

Beyonce do have the right to sue them.

This is 12:38 - I meant "without their express permission"

A.) Did Beyoncé go through the legal steps of copyrighting the phrase "Put a ring on it"?
B.) How is her "likeness" being emblazoned on their stuff? I haven't seen her image on their products (as of yet). Also, I didn't know you could trademark a letter font from microsoft word.
C.) This reminds me of the time when my dad spelled her name as "Biancée" => LOL.

The Carter's slogans should be:

'We can dish it out, but we sure can't take it.'
'We steal from anybody and everybody, but no one and nobody can steal from us.

@5:45
You just asked all the same things I wanted to know. Where is the copyright infringement and how is this interfering with Beyonce's "brand"?
I can understand artists suing someone for stealing their work but this seems a little ridiculous, not to mention that entire video was a Fosse/rip off sprinkled with some drag queen.

Crazy shit is that the only people that are interested in this shit is the flea hive and she is like NO you will not ever buy anything that I do not profit off of. But they don't get it....
