IMO, A-N-Y parent that has the means to afford their child with an above average education like Jules (and his peers that graduated with him) that can't speak French and Spanish fluently, should be ashamed.

OT: It's good to see pictures of them getting along again.

I absolutely HATE that there was a 5th grade graduation. Da fuq??
What happened to the basics: 8th, high school, college, etc.?
This graduating from every grade MUST STOP!!!

It SHOULD be a celebration in that family that someone is graduating 5th grade. smh.
Not even 6th or 8th as the above commentor noted but 5th!!
What is this world coming to.
And WORST fucking french accent I've EVER heard, horrible!

^^^You didn't graduate from elementary school? Grades 1-5 is primary school, 6-8 is middle school, and 9-12 is high school.

You're welcome.

Smdh @10:17- surely you jest, Worst french accent? He just graduated the 5th grade and is not a child actor learning how to speak the language with their natural accent.

He could speak Italian and unless he was raised with Italians who spoke Italian 95%+ of the time vs being taught the Italian language; tSmdh @10:17- surely you jest. Worst french accent? Idk why it typed that way and I'm to lazy to retype it but you know what I meant!! Give credit to Jule's teachers they did a good job!

He attends a international school in New Orleans. The kids pick a language in kindergarten and use that language every year. It isn't a school for just "privilege" children either.

Also, New Orleans has like 4 different school systems.

^^^Omg you've just made me more impressed because Solange didn't OFFICIALLY have her son as a year round student in LA (he was dual) until around Nov. of 2013. That's 2 and 3/4th years ago. If he learned french that well and fast then kudos to them!

My initial thought was "5th grade!?" I would've thought more of a sixth or seventh grader. Maybe he's just tall. Early years are best/easiest for learning a new language, it's always very nice to hear little american children speak other languages, my daughter began Spanish in 1st grade, by 5th grade she was fluent, she's 25 now, and beautifully, fluently bilingual, I say "beautifully" because spanish is a beautiful language.

As for school,
I have graduated five times:
From kinder, to 1st
From 5th to 6th
From 8th to 9th
From 12 to college
From from college to life

Now in college again, graduating next yr, so I guess that will be six damn times, and I still have every cap and gown, LOL

The boy got gifts. Just like ALL children. It's just what their being taught in this terrible school system.

He's in N.O, it just might be some ppl that understands the language very well. And my child school celebrate almost every milestone. It's a Pre-K to 5 school so they graduate in Pre K, K and 5th. Next it's 8th and finally 12th. Congrats to Her son though! My grandfather family hail from the south and have no education past elementary. They were pulled out of school to farm and most were share croppers. My grandfather is the only one on his tree with children, and grands that are high school and college grads. Smh.
