Greenleaf Breaks OWN Records

Oprah's new drama Greenleaf breaks rating records on the OWN network...

According to reports more than 3 million people tuned in Wednesday night to catch the series premier of the mega-church drama Greenleaf marking the biggest series launch in OWN’s five-year history.

Greenleaf was also the most-watched show on cable last night and the second-most-watched scripted cable debut of 2016 behind FX’s The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, which pulled in 5.11 million views back in Feb.

It's better than Tyler Faggot's bullshit shows; I can't stand him or those poorly written shows!

This is a good show!! Tyler's shows are always poorly written, contrived and poorly acted. He just tells them to ad-lib and throws a laugh track over it. I'm glad she's decided to venture out for new content. She's got a hit on her hands with this one.

For the life of me I cannot understand why Black accept such low quality poorly written TV shows like the ones Tyler Perry shits out. Meet the Browns is just undiluted coonery.

I really tried to watch The Have and Have Nots but the production value is so bad. It looks like it was shot with an old Hitachi video camera from 1993. And the acting. OMG...the acting is so horrific. It's like casting just picked people off the street and asked them if they wanted to be on TV. The dialogue sounds like they make it up as they go along. Every male on that show with the exception of maybe 2 come across as big femme queens trying to play straight men.

I myself will not watch a cheap badly acted TV show just because it's full of Black people...just like I won't shop at Black owned business that has inferior products and bad customer service just because it's Black Owned.

According to the LA Times, Oprah threw those Tyler Perry shows overboard to him and she went on to create real high quality television shows. TP should get tired of mass producing these God awful shows. The script is always similar. BTW, the LA Times also said something to the effect that Oprah spent years with her self- help shows but finally got around to doing quality programming. I could never get into her mumbo jumbo self actualization stuff. Too amorphous for me. I guess you can afford to do that if you have all of her money.

I love the Have and Have Nots. I am not alone. I don't understand why everything has to be a comparison or a put down. Tyler Perry is a successful man doing his thing; if it is not your thing why put the man down and why compare is work to other black people. Why do some black always thing if someone is trying to be successful some black people have to compare them to other black people and put that black person down. Sad, but I am glad other black people have love for T. P., and I will keep on loving the Have and Have Nots!!!!
