Troy Ave Escapes Murder Charges

Last month rapper Troy Ave was arrested on gun charges after a backstage shooting at a T.I. concert in New York left one person dead and three people, including Troy, injured [click here if you missed that].

Troy was indicted on multiple charges yesterday but murder was NOT one of them...

According to reports the grand jury indicted Troy on one count of attempted second degree murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies.

Apparently ballistics tests show the weapon used to kill Troy's bodyguard and friend, Ronald McPhatter, was NOT fired by Troy.

Troy Ave's lawyers tell TMZ,
"The video does not show everything nor explain what happened in the VIP room before Troy came running out, as a victim, after he was shot."
Troy is currently being held without bond.
