Zulu Nation Apologizes to Molestation Victims

Last month Hip Hop pioneer Afrika Bambaataa was removed as the head of the Zulu Nation after several men came forward with decades old allegations of child molestation [click here if you missed that].

The Zulu Nation issues a formal apology to the victims...

The apology sent to the NY Daily News reads,
"We extend our deepest and most sincere apologies to the many people who have been hurt by the actions of Afrika Bambaataa and the subsequent poor response of our organization to allegations leveled against him."
"To the survivors of apparent sexual molestation by Bambaataa, both those who have come forward and others who have not, we are sorry for what you endured and extend our thanks to those who have spoken out for your bravery in bringing to light that which most of us were sadly unaware of, and others chose not to disclose."

Just look at his face. He looks like a rapist. He most likely allegedly raped those boys.

Okay, first you said they and Star were liars and Government Agents looking for a payday. Then you said you were under new "leadership" but people questioned how the same people who allegedly protected Bamdusky were going to provide "new" leadership.

Allegedly there are MORE young men coming forward and there's now talk of the stabbing, and the REAL reason Bamdusky got kicked out of Brazil and deported from England...Your statement is too little, too late Zulu Nation. You're just mad the cat is out of the bag re: Bamdusky's behavior. When you allegedly had the internal meeting where Bamdusky was crying about his "habits" 5 years ago, you should have gotten him help. But instead he was your cash cow so you let it ride.

What has the Zulu Nation done in 30 years for Black people except eat off Bamdusky's one hit and run themselves as a block-hugging street gang? They can miss me with this BS.

@3:21 - I'm just someone's fed up African-American Aunt trying to do all I can to protect my nephew and all little boys of color as safe as I can. Seriously, if these were anyone but Black boys, this would be an international outrage (or perhaps not these days.)

Peace and blessings to the thread.

LOL @Bamdusky...

This letter of apology opens up the avenue for lawsuits, no??? It's not a confession from bamdusky, but it does indicate they had prior knowledge something was amiss. That why a lot of old buildings have hidden doors, hallways, etc. in case of w whç

The statute of limitations for sexual assault cases needs to be extended nationwide, even worldwide, but that won't happen. Probably because most predators are men and the majority of society is male dominated. Unfortunately justice has timed out for the alleged victims, unless there have been more recent victims and criminal acts. I wonder if any well-known celebrities were victimized?
